Google is tracking you down with your footprints

What do I mean, well Google has set about tracking people who use social networking solely to build links and promote their WebPages and affiliate sites on it search engine ranking system.
Google for a while now has focused on social networks and the practice of using them for focused link building, for those who primarily use social sites to establish a high number of back links their sites slowly you will find out things are changing.

Creating a large number of back links from social networks creates a huge footprint which sticks out like a sore thumb and Google is now taking notice.

For anyone who has become over reliant on social networking sites as their sole source of back links to promote their site, Google will identify your condensed back linking foot print and devalue those back links. Which means only one thing; your search engine rankings will drop!

Here’s a list of actions that experts say leave the biggest footprints

Setting up multiple profiles on the same social network all pointing to the same website.

Using software that automates the process of bookmarking your content across multiple profiles on multiple different networks.

Only bookmarking content that leads to web properties that you own.

You have little to no friends and a bunch of links to your stuff

You have bookmarked a bookmark that leads to your web property

You have more than one profile on a single social network and they all lead to web properties that you own.

These are some of the most visible footprints

Not to say that you can’t use social networking sites for back links, just don’t concentrate your back linking efforts in area because eventually someone will take notice and change the rules on you.
