Google Powers Up Mobile Shopping Results: Adds More Product Info & Buying Guidesr
Google is beefing up its own mobile Shopping experience to get ready for the holidays; at present discloses purchasing guides for broad groups such as “sewing machine” and “coffee grinder” searches and incorporating additional product-related information for certain merchandise searches.
“When you look for a particular item, Google.com now shows you additional useful info, such as related things, and allows you to compare reviews, prices and other specs, side by side,” writes Google product management director for Google Shopping, Jennifer Liu on Google’s The Keyword website.Google says it’s included a “new Version available” label to tech-gadget Product listings so searchers understand if they are browsing the latest model of technology products.
According to the Statement, Google just now redesigned mobile shopping experience has supported to bring more product info to the front with a characteristic such as a “Quick View” button at Google Shopping advertisements that allows users preview comprehensive product info.
Google also noted that its latest knowledge panel upgrades that quickly surface merchandise photographs, videos, descriptions, and reviews for product-related searches.
According to its own information, a number of popular product searches this year comprise:
Clothing brands like Nike, Air Jordan, Retro 11, Vans, and Canada Goose.
Celebrity-endorsed goods like Kevin Durant’s Nike KD 10, Pharrell x Adidas and Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty makeup line.
Gamer gifts like Razer phones, Nintendo Switch and Call of Duty WW2.
For the Google Home device, Google says voice searches are trending towards everyday essentials like paper towels or puppy food things people are very likely to add their grocery lists.
Early in November Google stated that it started seeing “generic, non-branded” searches outpacing branded queries attached to Black Friday-related searches as shoppers narrow down their alte
atives and begin laser-focusing their research on the particular items they wish to buy.
