Greeting Cards are multifaceted and can be sent for a number of occasions like Birthdays, Weddings, Baby showers, Anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day; as a matter of fact in almost every occasion even 21st Birthday Cards! A greeting card is like a picture postcard and can bring an instant smile to the person receiving it.
With the ever advancing world, the rate at which technology is growing is stupendous. Today greetings card would become a dying trend thanks to the widespread advent of Internet and other electronic media like emails and text messages since they are also much cheaper than conventional greeting cards. However the charm of a greeting card can never be superseded by other ways of wishing people. Greetings have always been the best ways to express oneself and also make the recipient feel special. The content is often very nicely written by experts and sometimes beautiful photography is included by famous photographers.

They are famous for witty cards. The two different types of cards available are bulk produced cards and handmade cards. The latter is a more expensive form of cards because they are painstakingly made by hand and also require a longer time to prepare. They are however more popular due to their aesthetic charm.
While gifting a card, many factors have to be kept in mind like the age, gender, likings besides the obvious occasion. Girls are generally attracted to cards which are more feminine, toned down and in light shades. Men or boys on the other hand prefer cards with a more macho shade to it or some joke on it. In countries like India, the legal age is 18 and hence an 18th Birthday card has a special spot in a birthday girl or birthday boy’s hearts. They should be appropriate to depict the coming of age.
