Grenada’s citizenship by investment and second passport program is the only program in the Caribbean that allows Visa Free access to China in addition to all Schengen States, the UK, and Singapore. Grenada has the 39th strongest passport and gives its citizens the option of E-2 USA ‘INVESTOR VISA’ that could down the line lead to a Green Card. You and your family will obtain an irrevocable dual citizenship and second passport without having to move away or renounce your current nationality. The Citizenship by Investment Program reopened in August 2013, when the Grenadian Parliament passed Act No. 15 of 2013, otherwise referred to as the ‘Grenada Citizenship by Investment Act, 2013.’ The stated objective of the Act is to “enable persons to acquire permanent residence, second passport and citizenship of Grenada by registration in Grenada’s government approved projects.” rnTimeline: 2 monthsrnNationalities supported: Open to all nationalitiesrnVisa free travel: Instant visa-free travel to 122 countries, including the Schengen countries, China, United Kingdom, Singapore and Hong KongrnInvestment type: Contribution to Grenada’s Government or Investment in Grenada’s Government Approved ProjectsrnInvestment cost: Contribution to Grenada’s National Transformation Fund (USD 150,000 for a family of 4) or GSA Financing (USD 190,000 for family of 4) or GSA Buy Back (USD 325,000 for a family of 4) or Real Estate Investment (USD 400,000 for family of 4) rnCOSTSrnSecond passport and citizenship program of Grenada requires making an economic contribution to the country or an investment in Government approved projects. OPTION 1 – CONTRIBUTION TO NATIONAL TRANSFORMATION FUND (NTF)rnUSD 150,000 Non-refundable contribution to the National Transformation Fund (NTF) The non-refundable financial contribution varies depending on the number of applicants as follows: OPTION 2 – GRENADA SUSTAINABLE AQUACULTURE (GSA) BUY BACKrnIn 5 years-time USD 275,000 is returned as Buy Back by the developer. The Buy Back amount is also guaranteed by International Insurance Company with whom the investor signs directly an insurance policy. Through this investment an annual return of minimum 6% is paid as from the Declaration of Dividends starting from year 3. As an alternative to the Buy Back option the investment could be sold in 3 years to another applicant and keep his second passport. OPTION 3 – REAL ESTATErnAs per Grenada’s citizenship legislation a real estate Investment of USD 350,000 is required as well as application fees payable to the Government. The property can be sold in approximately 3 years, or longer, depending on the stipulations of each project. Once it is sold the investment also qualifies the next purchaser for citizenship.
