Ground Coffee Beans
Written by Erickson Dow
Though I have never been a coffee drinker, I love the smell of it brewing in the morning. Perhaps I was used to it when I was growing up. It was such a sweet memory. The smell of the brewed coffee in the morning was a sign that my mom was already preparing an enticing breakfast for us. It was the same when we were at our grandmother's house. In my grandmother's house, a pot filled with brewed coffee was always ready for any relatives or friends dropping by paired with her homemade apple pie. She had constant visitors back then.
People have been enjoying the benefits of coffee for over fifteen hundred years. It came from the regions of Kaffa, Buno and Ethiopia, with its main manufacturer based on the port city of Mocha, Yemen. It was sold to Italian traders and proliferated in Europe in the 1600's. The Turks were clueless about coffee being one of the mostly recognized drinks in history. In 1668, brewed coffee spread across North America particularly in the towns of Boston, New York and Philadelphia. More than eight ounces is the daily average of every American coffee drinker, as reported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
You will be amazed with what you can get out of drinking coffee.Coffee is extremely high in antioxidants (substances that slow down or prevent oxidative damage to our cells and bodies and act as free radical scavengers). The Harvard Health Publication revealed that drinking coffee in moderation can lower the possibility of acquiring stones in the gall bladder, cancer of the colon, damage on the liver, and Parkinson's disease. It also invigorates the body and stimulates the brain.
Coffee is an energizer drink, therefore it is recommended to drink it in reasonable amounts. Drinking too much coffee or anything at all, is more harmful than beneficial to your body, therefore control your drinking to only 2 cups a day, may be less but not over 2 cups. The downside to overdrinking coffee is anxiety or panic attacks and in others a cause for a heart attack. In case you feel jumpy or tense after drinking coffee, cut down your consumption.
Having a nice cup of coffee is more tasty if you brew the fine newly picked beans yourself. The valuable oils which give the coffee its certain taste are taken out once the beans are ground. Nothing compares to the taste of brewed coffee out of newly ground fresh beans. To be able to savor the taste of a freshly brewed coffee, first you must have is a coffee grinder. I want to share something more from my personal preference with regards to coffee grinders. I use my coffee grinder to grind nuts and seeds. When the nuts and seeds are already ground, I use it as food coatings.I grind almonds, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, mix them together with paprika, herbs, a little salt and pepper. These are fantastic coatings for salmon cakes or chicken and fish. When the coating is done, I put it in the boiling oil to fry it, and later serve with a touch of mayo, lemon, garlic and horseradish sauce. Tastes delicious! At times, I want my herbs to be really small, my coffee grinder does that for me. If you grind other things such as nuts, seeds and herbs, then you need a second coffee grinder, the first for your coffee beans only.Purchase high quality beans, of course choosing the type of bean for a particular flavor is up to you. If you have unclean drinking water, put a filter on or use spring water to brew your coffee. It will even taste better. You might want to try organic coffee too. You can have several taste tests for various coffee beans to determine which taste suits you. When we were growing up, we drank coffee with our father and mother's consent, but only minimal. They called it coffee milk and it consisted of coffee, pure cream - more cream than coffee and sugar. That was a real treat.

What Does a Podiatrist Do on Your First Visit?
A first podiatry appointment is far less clinical than most people expect. It typically starts with a conversation about your medical history and the specific problem you're dealing with, followed by a look at your footwear, how you stand and walk, and a hands-on assessment of the affected area.
