Healthy food items are the eatables that are very much beneficial to the human health. They offer the nutrition that is required from the human body. They can fend off serious illnesses like cancer, diabetes and heart attack and help in fortifying one’s immune system, smoothen and protect the skin and also help you to lose weight. Listed below are some healthy food items that need to be included in your diet.

Foods to be included in the diet

Black beans: Legumes are easy to cook and cheap which makes them a food included in everyone's diet. They are very rich in proteins and hence act as a substitute for meat among vegetarians. They are also packed with fibre so that you can stay energised and feel full. Black beans even contain small amount of omega-3 fatty acids which keep your heart healthy.

D. There are studies showing that the omega-3 fatty acids can protect you against memory loss and premature brain aging. You can eat salmon by grilling it with soy sauce, lemon and garlic. You can also add it to your salads later on, if you have leftovers.

Kale: Kale is a vegetable that is the member of cancer-fighting cruciferous family and is full of antioxidants and fibre. It also contains vitami
K which helps in cell growth and minimizes the chances of blood clotting. It could be added to salads and its textured leaves give a crunchy feel.
Walnuts: Nuts are high in fat and calories, but the mono-saturated fats contained in nuts are healthier than the saturated fats found in dairy products and meat. And, the omega-3 fatty acids contained in them keep your heart healthy. The walnuts contain the most antioxidant among all the other nuts. You can consume this healthy food by adding it to yogurt, cereal or just eat it with bread.
Broccoli: It is a member of cabbage family and is also associated with anticancer benefits along with higher immunity and inflammation. It reduces the heart disease risks and keeps the blood pressure down. You can simply add broccoli to your salads.

Bananas: Bananas contain potassium and hence improve blood circulation and are vital for the proper function of digestive and muscular systems. They are rich in fibre which makes you feel full for a longer period. Bananas can be enjoyed just like that or you can add a little peanut butter for a savoury and sweet snack. This healthy food is a great choice for breakfast along with cereal, yogurt. In addition to that pancakes with chocolate and banana are just great!
Apples: Apples are rich in a soluble fibre known as pectin which targets and clears away bad cholesterol. The apple skin contains high level of phytochemicals which have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. They are the perfect diet food and are very easy to carry around. You can eat them raw or baked in pies and muffins.
