Hellos after Goodbyes

Life holds on to things that are not loveable. Then, how much more for things that are beautiful. Just as what a line from Pretty Woman says, “It must be hard to let go of something so beautiful”. If we place too much value to our broken stuff at home like the aging landscape painting stuck in our attic, how much more if we speak of a soul and spirit in flesh!

Lovers part ways. And no parting is easy. Prior to such situation, we expect that a roller coaster- ride had happened. Otherwise, togethe
ess would remain as harmonious implying that no parting would take place. Letting go must hurt even situations of being one hurts more. This happens when we sincerely learned to love another human being and went beyond loving what is visible to the eye. It is when our soul begins to connect to another soul in the most divine way we call love. We cannot let go of something divine yet the most problematic part is when such beautiful connection turned to disgust. It would create wounds severely to the extent of causing serious emotional damage to a person. And given that only time heals wounds, we knew then that two hearts that were once one would be apart in years or even more. And realize that even the most intense of loving passed and just the same as pain, bits and pieces be locked in memories while others fade just as that.

Yet there is always hope in regrets. There are hellos again in goodbyes. And there is new relationship than being in love. In fact, it is something that lasts more for so many. We call it friendship. Friendship is Asian art. Lovers cannot be friends. It is true when it is too soon. It is true when the couple remains attractive for attraction remains as the greatest prerequisite for being infatuated that could lead to another serious problem and if loving again in a romantic way will be deemed as such. And friendship is impossible when two parties have not settled down yet for good. Otherwise, some lovely kind of love will blossom again. And true friendship lasts for good.

It must be difficult to let go of something so beautiful. Yet many times we have to when such beauty is already being overshadowed by darkness. Fate is calling for some space between two souls for reasons initially no human soul is apt to fathom. Yet at the end of a long travel, we could disce
as to why some good things cannot last for a time being, not even those that are much better than landscape painting that last for ages.
