No matter how good results are in class, exams are a completely different thing. Course work and class work will very rarely prepare a student for the stress that exams can cause. Whether certain weaknesses are exposed due to the way in which questions are phrased in exams or whether particular areas of a syllabus were not covered in great enough detail, those sitting exams can be in for quite a big surprise when they actually sit down to take their test.

In many cases, students fail exams not because they themselves are unable to do the work, but because they have been taught a subject ineffectually or in the wrong way for them to understand. Part of the benefit of personal tutors is the fact that a child will be taught in the most appropriate way for them, but another part is simply the fact that they will also have far more confidence when it comes to the exam. And confidence alone can make a huge difference.

Whilst they will never know what is going to be on the exam until they open that paper, they can be far more prepared if they are taught on a one-to-one basis by those skilled in personal tuition.
