Help With Relationships - Three Things You Need to Get Your Ex Back
Written by Daryl Campbell
Nobody has to tell you about the ups and downs of being in a relationship. Sometimes it was a thrilling ride which you hoped would never end. Other times you wanted to jump off and get as far away from your significant other as possible. No big deal. Even the best of relationships can feel that way. And as far as you were conce
ed there were overwhelmingly more pluses to minuses.
None of that stopped the two of you from breaking up however. The two of you promised each other that you would always be friends but at this time it would be best if you both went your separate ways.
Now in your opinion that time has passed and you want your significant other back in you life for good. That's a big step but not an impossible one. Many couples have reunited and as a result had a better relationship. No reason the same thing cannot happen to the two of you. But it will not be easy and there are a few things you need to work on.
1. Trust
It's not just about having confidence that your ex feels the same way as you do. It's also believing that you really can make a go of it this time around and have a better relationship than before. To do that you have to trust in yourself and your former significant other that you are both ready to put in the necessary work to make it happen.
2. Patience
This can trip up a lot of couples. They go into rekindling the relationship with a full head of steam. Then somewhere along the way it dawns on them that this hard work and it is not necessarily moving at the pace they thought it would. It's not too long after that that one or both parties give up. Building and growing a relationship is a never-ending process. More so if you are trying to get back together. So be patient with yourself and your significant other.
3. Forgiveness
It's amazing how often after the rush of romantic emotions wears off that both parties discover there are some lingering bad feelings which have really not been dealt with. If you want you ex back then learn to forgive them form your heart. They are not perfect. For that matter neither are you so learn to forgive you as well.
