Dr Niketa Sonavane also enlightened us with the information that after around three to seven sessions, the hair growth decreases and women are able to go without having to go for a session for months. Less painful and more efficient than other methodsWhile talking to Dr Niketa Sonavane, we asked her to tell us if this procedure is painful or not? she then told us that these procedures are not at all painful as compared to waxing. she believes that while getting the treatment you might some slight discomfort and people with some special skin type might feel intense discomfort, but not unbearable pain. However, she told us that you can always ask your dermatologist to apply numbing cream or an ice pack before the procedure starts to prevent yourself from any sort of discomfort as this is the technique she uses for her clients.Prevents ingrown hair and regrowthAfter you use methods such as shaving, waxing, or hair removal creams, you start feeling small thorn like hair on your skin within a week, which causes great discomfort. However, that is not the case with this process. According to Dr Niketa Sonavane, this procedure destroys the roots of your hair due to which you never have to worry about ingrown hair. When you use the other methods for hair removal, you have to face regrowth while you are getting the procedures done. Due to this you are unable to have a smooth skin. We discussed this common issue with Dr Niketa Sonavane and she told us that this process prevents regrowth of hair due to which you are able to enjoy your smooth and hair free skin.Helps you save money in the long runWe asked Dr Niketa Sonavane the most asked question by women about this procedure; Is the procedure affordable? We were then told by Dr Niketa Sonavane that the procedure of laser hair removal is a cost for one time a month and is more financially affordable than the other methods used by women. Being in this field for a long time, she also told us that the prices of the treatment have also been falling since some years making it a more convenient option for women.Allows you to shave in between sessionsWhen it comes to waxing, you are strongly advised not to shave in between sessions even in case of an emergency. However, that is not the case in the laser treatment. According to Dr Niketa Sonavane, Cosmetic Dermatologist and founder of Ambrosia Aesthetics, Mumbai, women are allowed to shave if they feel like they need to get rid of the fuzz on their body. She actually encourages women to shave before they come in for their laser treatment session, as it saves the burning of hair directly on their skin.
