High Blood Pressure Causes - Eliminate Them With Fish Oil Capsules
Written by Konstantin Eriksen
High blood pressure, or hypertension, is one of the most common health problems today. Hypertension can increase our chances of having a heart attack, stroke, aneurysm and even kidney failure. Research is now showing that supplementation with fish oil capsules can lower high blood pressure significantly.
This is very good news for health-conscious people, because anti-hypertensive medications can have dangerous side effects, including an increase in bad cholesterol and a decrease in good cholesterol, which are in turn a risk-factor for heart disease. Omega 3 fatty fish supplements actually thin the blood making it less sticky and less likely to clump together.
Researchers at Tromso University in Norway have reported that fish oil supplements are very effective at lowering blood pressure in people with hypertension. Moreover, it was found that taking fish oil capsules have no effect on glucose control in subjects with mild diabetes.
To top it all off, the scientists found that the group of people taking 4 capsules of fish fat capsules every day also had much lower levels of triglycerides and bad cholesterol, which is exactly the opposite effect to some of the dangerous, prescription blood pressure medications available today. Therefore, the EPA and DHA found in fish oil supplements has a positive effect on heart health through two different pathways, that of lowering high blood pressure and that of improving triglyceride and good cholesterol levels.
Another study, this time done in Adelaide Australia, showed that taking an omega 3 fish supplement every day while at the same time reducing sodium intake is highly effective in lowering both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Sodium and omega 3 deficiency have both been implicated in causing hypertension.
Hypertension is actually a silent killer. Many people don't find out they have it until something is seriously wrong. Prevention is always better than medication. Reestablishing the balance of omega 3 to omega 6 fatty acids that nature intended us to eat is the best preventative step that can be taken to prevent and alleviate hypertension.
For these reasons, many doctors today recommend betwee
3 g and 4 g of high quality, molecularly distilled omega 3 capsules every day to high blood pressure patients, especially those patients who are borderline cases and can be spared the side effects of the medications.
