According to experts the atrophic marks occur due to the contraction in the layers of the skin. The home remedies for acne scars are very effective in this type of marks. Secondly, raised acne marks are also known as keloid marks. This acne mark type is less common than atrophic acne marks, and home remedies for acne scars can also treat this type of marks. Thirdly, the pigment marks are those acne lesions that occur in the uppermost layer of the skin, for instance blackheads. This type does not leave any scars because this type is capable in healing the skin unlike other two types.

1. Squeeze some juice out of the lemon and apply it on the marks. Let the skin soak it, and then wash off with clean water.

2. Prepare a good paste of sandalwood powder and rosewater. Apply it on skin, and Leave it for 1 hour. Afterwards, wash face with clean water.

3. Take one tablespoon of sour cream, one tablespoon of oatmeal, one tablespoon of yoghurt and few drops of ripe lemon. Mix all of these thoroughly to form paste. Apply this mixture directly on the scars, and let it set there for 10 minutes. Rinse face with clean water.

4. Use raw honey as the facemask. It is also effective when taken orally.

5. Boil some fenugreek seeds in the water. Make a paste of boiled seeds and apply on the face for 30 minutes.

6. Mix equal amounts of tomato and cucumber. Ground them in the form of thick paste. Apply it on skin regularly. In addition, it will tighten the pores and give skin a nice, even texture.

7. Rubbing ice cubes on the skin will shrink the size of pores, and also it will increase the blood flow towards face due to which the face skin can regain vitality rapidly.
