Partial or complete memory loss which can happen due to certain reasons is known as amnesia. There are certain factors which can cause amnesia such as alcohol abuse, weakness of brain, anxiety neurosis, impairment of mental faculties and impairment of brain cells. Some of the common symptoms for amnesia are verbal amnesia, loss of memory, inability to concentrate and intolerance to noise.

There are several home remedies for amnesia which are simple to use and are quite safe to try at home without any risk of side effect. Some of the most popular home remedies for amnesia which are being used since a very long time and have proved to be quite effective in many cases are:

1. One of the most effective home remedies for amnesia is to eat apple very day. Apple is a rich source of potassium, vitami
B2 and phosphorus. It helps in repairing wear and tear of nerve cells. All you have to do is consume apple with milk and honey on daily basis for good results.

2. Basil leaves are considered to be one of the most efficient home remedies for amnesia. Just take some basil leaves and boil them in water. Later you can drink this mixture. Or you can even try consuming fresh basil leaves which is equally beneficial.

3. Take ten almonds and soak them in water for the whole night. Next morning peel these almonds and grind them to form a fine paste. Consume this paste with one teaspoon of butter. Daily use of this natural remedy will give strength to your brain and will help in treating amnesia.

4. Rosemary is an herb which is very effective against amnesia. You can drink rosemary tea every day to enhance mental strength and to cure amnesia.

5. Take five black pepper seeds and grind them properly to form a fine powder. Now mix some honey to this powder to form a fine paste. Every morning consuming this paste on an empty stomach will prove to be very helpful in treating amnesia.

6. Try to avoid consumption of tea, alcohol, coffee, chocolate, white rice, cola, condiments and foods with chemical additives. Instead you can try consuming foods rich in phosphorus such as milk, pulses, cereals and fruit juices.

7. Walnuts are very useful in treating amnesia. Make it a habit to consume walnuts (20 grams) every morning. You can even try adding figs or raisins to walnut.

8. Consuming honey on regular basis will also prove to be very effective against amnesia. You can either consume it directly or mix with water and then drink.

9. Cumin seeds are very valuable in treating dullness of memory or amnesia. All you have to do is take pure honey (two teaspoons) and then add three grams of cumin seed in it. Consume this mixture every morning on regular basis for best results.

10. Try to take enough sleep and sufficient rest every day. Practice some meditation and relaxation techniques to cure amnesia.
