Home Remedies For Bruising, Simple and Effective Ways

Bruises are the most common injuries which may cause temporary discoloration of the skin. Bruises are also known by the names of ecchymosis and contusion. They are basically minor injuries which may be caused by a sudden bump or fall. This will cause small tears or ruptures in the small blood vessels which are present just below the skin. And as a result of which your bruises will appear bluish or blackish in color. There are various home remedies for bruising which can be tried at home comfortably.

One of the easiest home remedies for bruising is to apply cotton gauze soaked in apple cider vinegar or white vinegar on the affected skin for almost one hour. You can even try applying a slice of raw onion on the bruise. Before applying raw onion slice on the bruise make sure that the skin is not broken.

C can cause bruises to pop out of nowhere. In order to overcome such bruises add citrus fruits and vegetables in your diet. They will provide you with necessary minerals and vitamins and help in developing thicker blood vessels.

Taking alfalfa or vitami
K in tablet forms will help in blood clotting procedure. This is considered to be one of the most effective home remedies for bruising. Since cabbage is known to have anti-inflammatory properties it can be directly applied to the bruises in emaciated form. This will quicken up the healing process.

Parsley is known to have healing properties. It is effective in the case of blue or black marks. Just crush some parsley and apply directly on the bruises. Comfrey tea is also a good option. Take a cloth and soak it in comfrey tea. Now apply this cloth to the affected area. This will help in reducing the pain and lighten up the appearance of bruise.

You can even try a remedy which is somewhat similar to ancient Chinese remedy. All you need to do is mix one part of cayenne pepper to five parts of melted petroleum jelly. Now allow this mixture to cool down. This mixture can be applied to the bruise one time daily.

One of the ultimate home remedies for bruising is to take a calm bath with witch hazel. Since witch hazel has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory qualities it will improve blood circulation and also help in quick healing of the bruise. Applying a
ica cream on the affected area will minimize the bruises and heal them quickly.

St Johns Wort is one of the oldest home remedies for bruising. It has astringent and anti-bacterial properties. Just mix few drops of St. Johns Wort tincture with a cream or organic oil and apply it directly on the affected area.

Try consuming foods rich in vitami
P. Green peppers, lemon; rose hips and broccoli are rich in vitami
P. Eat lots of onion and garlic. Drink plenty of water or you can even try consuming soups and herbal teas. Stay away from dairy products, sugar, white flour, sweet fruits and processed foods. You should avoid alcohol and smoking. Do not take hot showers or hot packs as they will increase swelling and bruising.
