Home Remedies For Cervical Spondylosis, Effective Natural Treatment

Degenerative disease of the spinal region which leads to shoulder and neck pain, frequent headaches and tightening of the muscles in the neck and head region is known as cervical spondylosis. Some of the causes of cervical spondylosis are; lack of exercise, injury, faulty posture, wrong diet, stress, emotional problems, psychological strain and improper way of lifting weights. Some of the common symptoms are; nagging, giddiness, headache, numbness and tingling on the affected side, weak arm or hand muscles and acute or chronic stiffness.

Home Remedies

There are several home remedies for cervical spondylosis which are simple to follow and easy to use. Some of the popular home remedies are:

1. One of the most effective home remedies for cervical spondylosis is to do some basic and simple exercises such as bicycling, walking and swimming. These exercises will provide the spinal disks with a supply of essential nutrients and delay the process of deterioration.

2. Garlic is considered to be one of the efficient home remedies for cervical spondylosis. All you need to do is consume two to three cloves of garlic every morning on daily basis. Or you can fry ten garlic cloves in oil (60 grams). Allow it to cool and then apply this oil on the affected part. Leave this oil on the area for around three hours and then go take a warm bath. Try this procedure for at least fifteen days.

3. One should also take a good care of his diet. A person suffering from cervical spondylosis should have four meals in a day which may consist of whole-wheat bread sprouts, steamed vegetables, milk and salad. Try to have a diet rich in calcium, vitami
D, vitami
C, phosphorous and proteins.

4. Practice yoga twice daily for five to ten minutes. It can really prove to be very effective in treating cervical spondylosis.

5. Lemon juice is also one of the common and effective home remedies for cervical spondylosis. Mix some salt in a lemon juice and drink it. Drink lemon juice two to three times a day in order to benefit from it.

6. Margosa or neem tree is also helpful in treating this problem. Make it a daily habit of consuming leaves and flowers of the tree.

7. Avoid smoking and tobacco products.

8. Do not consume caffeine rich drinks such as coffee, tea and cola.

9. Try not to eat sweets, salty food and sour food.

10. Add fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet such as cabbage, tomato, lettuce, radish, cucumber etc.

11. Daily make it a habit of taking hot showers and it can be really helpful if you wear a cervical collar.

12. Consume bitter vegetables such as drumsticks and bitter gourd. Replace rice with wheat in your diet. But avoid refined wheat like flour and semolina.

13. Avoid exposure to cold, cold bath, wrong posture while reading or writing and violent neck muscle exercise. Whenever you going out of the house remember to wear a scarf around the neck.

The above mentioned home remedies for cervical spondylosis are some of the most effective home remedies which can be tried at home.
