A corn is a thickening of the skin on a particular area which is caused due to pressure. Corn can be caused due to ill-fitting shoes. Symptoms of corn may include hard and raised bumps which can cause lot of pain and discomfort. A corn basically affects the toe region of the body. They can occur at sole of the foot, in between toes and top of the toes. They are quite tender to touch and can sometimes cause a great deal of problem for the person.

There are several home remedies for corns which are simple to use and are quite safe to try at home without any risk of side effects. Some of the popular natural remedies for corns which are being used since a very long time and have proved to be quite effective in many cases are:

1.One of the simplest home remedies for corns is to keep your feet dry and clean. You can use medicated powder on the affected region to get immediate relief.

2. Lemon is also considered to be one of the most efficient natural remedies for corns. All you need to do is take a lemon and slice it into pieces. Now place any one of these pieces on your corn and leave it there for the whole night. Next morning use a disinfectant to wash the area.

3. Take a chalk and make a powder out of it. Now mix this chalk powder with water to form a paste. Just before going to bed apply this paste on the affected region. This is also very effective natural home remedy for treating corn.

4. Raw papaya juice is also very effective in treating corn. All you have to do is take some raw papaya and extract its juice. Apply this raw papaya juice on your corn three times in a day. Make this a daily practice until you are satisfied with the results.

5. Pineapple is also very effective in treating corn. Extract some pineapple juice and apply it on the affected region. Repeat this natural natural remedy on daily basis for better results.

6. Take green figs and extract its juice. Apply half teaspoon of green figs juice on the corn three times daily. This home remedy will prevent corns from happening and will soften the skin.

7. Take some liquorice and make them into a powder. Now mix this powder with gingili oil or mustard oil to form a paste. Apply this paste on the corn affected region two to three times in a day.

8. Indian squill is an herb which can be very effective in curing corns. You can roast it and then apply on the affected area. Now use a bandage to secure it. It is very effective if you use it at night and then remove next morning.

9. Chamomile tea is very beneficial in treating corns. All you need to do is take some diluted chamomile tea and soak your feet in it. This will soften the hard skin and will give a soothing effect.
