Hair is one of the main features of our face which makes us look beautiful. But those who have damaged hair have to go through a mental agony. There are certain factors responsible for damaged hair such as stress, excessive styling, poor intake of water, insufficient care, pollution, poor diet, excessive use of styling products, using dryer every day and infrequent oiling.

Home Remedies

There are several home remedies which are simple to follow and easy to use. Some of the popular home remedies are:

1. One of the effective home remedy is the use of mayonnaise. All you need to do is wash your hair and apply a cup of mayonnaise on your damp hair. Try to coat from roots to the ends. Now take a shower cap and cover your hair with it. Wait for thirty minutes and then wash it with a mild shampoo.

2. Take three spoons of olive oil, one spoon of honey and a single egg yolk. Mix them together and apply to your hair. Cover your hair and wait for an hour. Later wash with water. This is one of the most effective home remedies.

3. Take few avocados, an overripe banana and few drops of olive oil. Mix them together and then apply to your hair. Wait for twenty minutes and then wash with warm water. Make this a routine for good results.

4. Coconut oil is also very helpful in treating this problem. Before going to bed take some coconut oil and heat it to make it warm. Now massage your head with this oil and allow it to stay on your hair for the whole night. Next morning use a shampoo to wash.

5. Do not use rubber bands on your hair instead you can use coated hair bands. While drying your hair you should try to avoid rubbing instead you can pat your hair. Stop using hot rollers and curling irons. Trim split ends from your hair.

6. Take an empty container and pour some beer in it. Now add small amount of hair oil in it and mix well. After you shampoo your hair use this mixture to rinse your hair. Wait for five minutes and then wash with warm water.

7. Do not use harsh strokes while you are combing your hair. While using a shampoo use finger tips to massage your scalp.

8. Consume foods such as yogurt, lettuce, limes, soy, nuts, carrots, alfalfa, spinach and milk. These foods are good for your hair. Drink lots of water to keep your hair glossy and shiny.

9. Take one-half cup each of wheat germ oil and sunflower oil. Mix them together with one tablespoon of honey. After you have washed your hair apply this mixture to the damp hair. Remember to coat it from the roots to the ends of the hair. Now take a shower cap and cover your hair with it. Wait for thirty minutes and then wash with mild shampoo.
