Menopause is a changeover period in women's life. Moreover, during this period the woman ovary gradually stops the production of eggs. In addition, her body also decreases the production of female hormones, estrogen and progesterone due to which menstruation cycle also becomes less frequent. Furthermore, the menopausal period starts between 45 years and 55 years of a woman's age. Additionally, when this period starts, the body of a woman goes through a painful process due to which many women look hopefully towards some effective home remedies for menopause that may relieve their pain.
A woman is no longer at risk of becoming pregnant when post-menopause is complete. In addition, the risk of becoming pregnant lessens when menstruation cycle has stopped for more than a year. Moreover, the painful condition arises due to decrease in production of hormones by ovaries, and severity of symptoms may vary from woman to woman. Furthermore, the ovaries gradually decrease the production of hormones so that the body can adjust itself with the lower levels of hormones. In such desperate times when the change in hormone levels is leading to complications, the home remedies for menopause might prevent a woman from getting debilitated.
There are many symptoms that may tell a woman that her body is going through this natural process of the body. Firstly, hot flashes are the most common symptom when a woman's body goes through this natural process. Secondly, sweating at night time may occur due to hormonal changes. Thirdly, temporary insomnia is likely to occur when hormone level is decreasing. Fourthly, heart pounding is another symptom of this transition period. Others include headaches, forgetfulness, mood swings, vaginal dryness, joint aches, and skin flushing. The home remedies for menopause may provide a helping hand towards a woman in this pain-giving condition. Some effective homemade remedies are mentioned to help body to easily adjust itself with hormonal changes.
1. Take 800 mg of evening primrose oil thrice daily to reduce hot flashes. It is one of the simplest home remedies for menopause.
2. Take 2 teaspoons of cohosh root tincture, 1 teaspoon of don quai root tincture, 1 teaspoon sarsaparilla tincture, 1 teaspoon of licorice root tincture, 1 teaspoon chestnut tree tincture, and 1 teaspoon ginseng root tincture. Mix all the ingredients together, and have 3 drops of the mixture regularly to reduce hot flashes.
3. Take few carrot seeds, and boil them in a glassful of milk. Drink the milk along with carrot seeds. This remedy should be used on regular basis.
4. One of the most effective home remedies for menopause is to drink one glass of beetroot juice on regular basis.
5. Mix equal amounts of almond oil and geranium oil. Apply this mixture around vagina to prevent vaginal dryness.
In conclusion, the above mentioned home remedies for menopause are very effective in relieving the symptoms of this painful transition period of women's life. But, a woman going through this period is prone to osteoporosis, which is why it is advised to increase intake of foods that are rich in calcium, for instance milk and dairy products. In addition, it is recommended to go for small distance walk, or jogging which will prove to be beneficial during this period. Finally, it is recommended that a woman must eat nutritional foods during such times to prevent debilitation of body.
