Home Remedies For Minor Burns That Give Long Term Relief

Minor burns are first degree burns in which only the first layer of the skin gets damaged. There are certain factors which can cause minor burns such as fire, radiation, thermal and certain chemicals. Some of the common symptoms of minor burns are mild swelling, scaling, redness and blisters.

There are several home remedies for minor burns which are simple to use and are quite safe to try at home without any risk of side effects. Some of the popular home remedies for minor burns which are being used since a very long time and have proved to be quite effective in many cases are:

1. One of the simplest home remedies for minor burns is the use of milk. All you need to do is take some milk and then soak a clean cloth in it. Now apply this cloth on the affected region of your body. Wash the cloth and again soak in milk and apply. Repeat this process to get relief from the pain.

2. Potato peels are considered to be one of the most effective home remedies for minor burns. All you have to do is apply potato peels on the affected region of your body and allow it to stay there for a while. This home remedy will reduce redness and will ease the pain.

3. Aloe vera gel is also very beneficial in treating burns. All you have to do is cut an aloe vera leaf and peel it. Now apply the pulp region of aloe vera leaf on your burn wound.

4. In order to give cooling and soothing effect to the burns you can try using yogurt. Just take two tablespoons of yogurt and apply it on the affected region. Leave it there for fifteen minutes and remove.

5. Vitamin E is very helpful in reducing inflammation and quick healing. Take some vitami
E oil and apply directly on the burns.

6. Water is also very useful in treating burns. Just rinse the affected area with normal water. This will give you relief from the pain and will stop the burn from spreading.

7. Take some vinegar and dilute it with water. Now apply this diluted vinegar on the wound. This natural remedy will cleanse the skin and will give relief from the pain.

8. Take some lavender oil and rub it directly on the affected area of your body. This will prevent scarring and will give you relief from the pain. You can apply it many times in a day but remember to rinse your wound before each application of lavender oil.

9. Black tea is known to have tannic acid and is very effective in giving relief from the burning sensation. You can use black tea bags for this purpose. Just take some black tea bags and put them under running water, place a bowl under it to collect the liquid. Now apply this liquid on the burns.

10. Honey is also very helpful in treating minor burns. Just apply honey on the affected area and you will see that it will give you relief from the pain.
