The skin pores contains sebaceous glands which secrets an oily, waxy substance known as sebum. Moreover, the sebum is made of dead fat-producing cells, and wax. In addition, the sebum is the substance which keeps our skin moisturized. But, sometimes sebum gets entrapped within the spores, due to dead skin cells, and blocks the skin pores. The home remedies for pimples helps to remove the blockage in the skin pores. Furthermore, when a person hits puberty, the entrapment of sebum is likely to occur because the skin thickens during puberty. And, the sebaceous glands continue the production of sebum behind the blocked skin pores which makes it a perfect haven for various bacteria. There are many causes for occurrence of acne. Firstly, raging hormones during teenage is one of the prime causes of acne. Secondly, due to hormonal imbalance acne is likely to occur during pregnancy. Thirdly, contraceptive pills also cause acne. Fourthly, improper selection of skin care products may also lead to this problem. Others include heredity, some prescribed medications, and menstruation cycles, may cause acne. 1. Prepare a paste of fenugreek leaves. Apply the paste before going to bed, and leave it ove
ight. In the morning wash face with warm water.
2. Pound some dried orange peels to form fine powder, and store it in air tight jar. Whenever needed, add water in the powdered orange peels to form a paste, and apply it on affected areas for 15 to 20 minutes.
3. One of the most effective home remedies for pimples is application of lemon juice on affected areas.
4. Mix a pinch of turmeric powder in 1 teaspoon of mint juice. Apply this mixture on affected areas after washing the face thoroughly. It will help to get rid of bacterial infection.
5. Apply grated cucumber on face for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse face with cold water.
It is also important to use some preventive measures to stop recurrent attacks of acne. Firstly, keep skin well cleansed to prevent blockage of skin pores. Secondly, avoid touching your skin because it may pass extra dirt, oil and bacterium which may lead to acne. Thirdly, always use skin care products that are hypoallergenic, and non-greasy.
