Home Remedies For Tonsillitis That Give Amazing Results

A painful condition in which pain and inflammation of the tonsil take place is known as tonsillitis. Tonsillitis is caused by bacteria and viruses. Some of the common symptoms of tonsillitis are nasal congestion, fever, pain, sore throat, and runny nose, coughing and sneezing.

Tonsillitis Home Remedies

There are several home remedies for tonsillitis which are simple to use and are quite safe to be tried at home without any risk of side effects. These home remedies are totally natural and are quite cheap. Some of the popular home remedies for tonsillitis which are being used since a very long time and have proved to be quite effective in many cases are:

1. One of the simplest remedies for tonsillitis is the use of ice pack or cold pack. All you need to do is apply ice pack or cold pack on the affected region of your throat. This will give immediate relief from the pain and will make you feel better.

2. Another effective remedy is to take a glass filled with warm water and then add four teaspoons of honey in it. Now add fresh lime juice and one fourth teaspoon of salt in this mixture. Drink this mixture two times in a day for better results. This is one of the most efficient home remedies for tonsillitis.

3. Take some twigs of water hyacinth plant and burn them. Now collect their ash and mix with mustard oil. Now apply this mixture on the affected region of your throat. This natural home remedy will prove to be very effective in treating tonsillitis.

4. Take 120 ml of warm water and then add five grams of salt in it. Mix them well and then use this solution as a gargle. Gargle several times in a day to get good results.

5. Milk can also be very helpful in treating tonsillitis. All you have to do is boil some milk and then add pepper powder and turmeric powder in it. Drink this mixture just before going to bed for the next three days.

6. Lime juice is also another effective remedy. Just take a glass of warm water and then add lime juice in it. Add honey (four teaspoons) and one fourth teaspoon of salt in it and then sip this mixture slowly.

7. Take a liter of water and boil it. Now add two tablespoons of fenugreek leaves in it and allow it to simmer for the next half an hour. Allow this mixture to cool and then use it as a gargle. This will give you relief from the pain and will be very helpful in treating tonsillitis.

8. Take 100 ml of beet juice, 100 ml of cucumber juice and then mix them with 300 ml of carrot juice. Consume this mixture on regular basis to get relief from the symptoms of tonsillitis.

9. Chamomile tea is also very effective. All you need to do is add honey and lemon in chamomile tea and drink it. This is one of the most effective remedies for tonsillitis.
