Sunshine is one of the easiest and excellent home remedies to lighten hair. All you need to do is apply conditioner on your scalp and cover your body with a cloth. Now lie in the sun and spread your hair for almost 20 minutes. The golden rays of the sun will lighten up the color of your hair. Try this daily until you have achieved the color you think will suit you the best.

Lemon juice is one of the popular home remedies to lighten hair, since it is easy, effective and cheap. Just take a fresh lemon and roll it on a hard surface until it gets soft. Now cut this lemon and squeeze the juice out of it. Mix little water with this juice and apply it directly on your hair. Remember to always apply it on a dry hair. Leave it there for six hours and then shampoo your hair. Make this a daily routine until you achieve your desired color.

Swimming is one of the best home remedies to lighten hair. Swimming everyday in a chlorinated pool (pool water contains chlorine to keep it free from germs) and then allowing your hair to dry up in the sun will lighten your hair naturally. Another alte
ative is to take a dip in seawater.

Chamomile flowers can also help in lightening your hair. Boil a cup of water and add chamomile flowers to it. Leave it for almost thirty minutes and once cool strain the water. You can rinse your hair with this solution and allow this solution to fall into a container so that you can immediately reuse it again. Repeat this process three to six times. Now wait for fifteen minutes so that the solution gets soaked into your hair. Repeat this procedure everyday till you see the desired effects. You can even add chamomile tea to lime juice to get some mild bleaching effect.

Mixture of honey and olive oil is also one of the effective home remedies to lighten hair. Mix honey (one to two tablespoons) with olive oil (one to two tablespoons). Now massage your hair with this mixture and allow it to stay on your hair for almost thirty minutes. Wash it off with shampoo.

These were some of the most effective home remedies to lighten hair. But it is recommended to check the effects of these remedies by cutting few strands of your hair and then subject these strands to the remedies. This will help you to choose the best remedy which can give you the desired results.
