Home Remedies to Treat Whiteheads

Whiteheads is a common problem that appears in puberty but it may extend in thirties, too. Whiteheads usually makes the skin unpleasant and ugly. This problem appears because of an excessive activity of the sebum. When the excess of the sebum combined with keratin accumulates in the skin pores around the hair follicle it usually plugs he pores of the skin.
Whiteheads must be treated properly because they damage the skin texture. The most affected parts of the face are forehead, the nose sides, temples and cheekbones. The apparition of the whiteheads can be prevented easily if proper measures are taken on time. People with an oily skin are more prone to have whiteheads.
The most important thing you have to do to treat whiteheads is to consume about 2 liters of water daily. Water will help your body to flush the toxins away and to keep the skin supple and hydrated. A balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables is very important to keep your skin away from whiteheads.
Drink a glass of lemon juice mixed with warm water every day. This remedy helps your body to eliminate the toxins. Fenugreek leaves are very efficient in treating whiteheads. Prepare a paste from fresh leaves of fenugreek and apply it on the affected areas. Wait 10-15 minutes and then wash it with water. Do this every morning. This remedy is very efficient in preventing pimples, blackheads and whiteheads.
The persons that confront with whiteheads problem should use medicinal soap to wash their face. Steam your face with mist of boiling herbal tea and press kindly your skin to release clogged oil. Another way to unclog the skin pores is to rub a lemon skin on the face. Make this two times a week and you will obtain great results.
Pomegranate peel is another great remedy for whiteheads. Roast a peel of a pomegranate and grind it to obtain a powder. Mix this powder with lemon juice to get a paste and then apply it on the affected areas. After 15 minutes, remove it with warm water.
Mix a tablespoon of ground nut oil with a tablespoon of lemon juice and apply this mixture on face. Beat the white of an egg until it becomes frothy. Add a tablespoon of honey and blend it well. Use a cotton swab to apply this remedy on the whiteheads. Wait 30 minutes and then rinse your face with warm water.
Potatoes can also be successfully used in treating whitehead. Grate a potato and then apply it on the face. Let the remedy action for ten minutes and then rub it because n this way you will remove not only the potato but the whiteheads, too.
Prepare a paste from 1 tablespoon sandalwood powder and some rose water. Apply the treatment on the face and wait twenty minutes. Wash your face with water to remove the paste. Mix some cornstarch with vinegar to prepare a paste. Apply the remedy on the affected areas for thirty minutes. Rinse with plenty of water.
