However, natural remedies can be found right in your kitchen, and need only a little patience before you can take advantage of their long-term consequences.

Lemon is very effective for chronic cough. You can add a few dash of white or black pepper to a sliced lemon juice and take it to free themselves from constant coughing.

You can also mix honey with pepper and take this concoction, like cough syrup, a few times a day.

A mixture of ginger, honey and lemon as a hot mixture can be equally useful in place of cough syrup. Make it as a tea first boiling water and pouring it into a small thermos (about a liter or quart). To do this, add grated ginger and then four tablespoons each of lemon and honey.

Garlic is an excellent remedy for whooping cough. The syrup of two to three pieces of garlic must be taken two or three times a day in case of pertussis. If symptoms persist, or if it is a serious cough, the dose should be increased.

Fenugreek seeds are effective in the removal of coughs that are associated with angina. Seeds are boiled in water for half an hour, and this water is used to take gargles.

Almonds are useful for dry cough. Soak seven almonds ove
ight and remove the brown skin. Make a paste out of it. Add 20gms butter and sugar into a paste. This paste can be taken in the morning and evening for a good relief from dry cough.

Onions are useful in removing phlegm. Chop raw onions into small pieces and squeeze the juice out of it. 1 teaspoon of this juice should be mixed with 1tsp honey and kept for 4 to 5 hours. This provides an excellent cough syrup and can be taken twice a day.
Crush medium onions, add the juice of 1 lemon, then add 1 cup of boiling water to it. Honey can be added to taste. This mixture can be made 2 - 3 times a day for good care for a cough.

Add honey and a pinch of salt, orange juice and drink it to get help from a cold, cough and throat pain. Turn the cabbage on a regular basis for food control cold and cough.

For children, add juice of Tulsi leaves mother'S milk cold.
