House Removals

I have just returned home from the one of the hardest days ever. My Grandmother is moving house. I love her dearly and I will always do anything I can to assist her when she needs my help but I was not prepared for today. She has lived in the same house all her life and the house has actually been in the family for three generations. She is not selling the house because it has a lot of sentimental value and eventually it will probably belong to my mother. She is moving into sheltered accommodation because old age is starting to take its toll! However after the twelve hour day I have had, I think I may be joining her. We have been clearing some of her belongings. She want to leave the house as tidy as possibly so when she passes away it won’t be a big job. There are a lot of valuable antiques in the house and she wanted to ensure that they were not thrown away and we were aware of the value. The problem is the amount of stuff which has been collected over the generations, it just enormous. I have worked hard to clear as many cupboards as possible but I have not even started on the cellar or the loft! Tomorrow I will be returning to my Grandmas for round two! The House Removals removal men are coming to collect some of the furniture which she is taking to her new flat. Maybe I can offer them a back hander to stick around and help, fingers crossed!
