During school life everyone come through those few children who sit by themselves and don’t say anything, don’t look around, and don’t seem even the least bit interested in getting involved with classmates. None of us ever think about the reason for such behavior rather most of the children make fun of them and isolate them by providing the tag of weird. In most of the cases such behavior arises due to mental disorders, the child might not behave the typical way on their own choice but are forced upon due to the abusive and neglectful parents or other emotional and psychological reasons that obliterate the children’s trust.

In maximum cases, the medical experts found that the affected person is grown up in a family of emotionally detached individuals. Parents that abuse, or completely neglect them dramatically increase the risk of developing a Schizoid personality disorder. Most of the child who grows up with such disorder doesn’t have a good social life as they do not form deep relationships with anyone and usually do not seek help due to the fact that they feel misunderstood. As the life of the individual suffering from mental disorder progresses without any treatment it reflects a poorly balanced sexual instinct and less fruitful love affairs. Even if the individual is capable of opening up and marry someone, in most of the cases they are prone to neglect the relationship with their spouse and do not show any positive interest in building trust or having a fruitful and healthy relationship.

In medical terms, mental illness that relates to personality disorder is often explained as a psychotic mental disorder that shows detachment from society and being against social norms. The medical experts find many characteristics in the people who are diagnosed with such disorder, most of the characteristics are based around the fact that these people do not associate with others and in case they do, it is very rare.

An example to better explain the scenario with such people can be illustrated as, when family get-together or holidays are planned, a person with mental personality disorder does not associate with anyone and tries to be away from the crowd, they are usually oblivious to a social gathering and are generally self-absorbed. People generally find it hard to understand or interact with such people as they do not show any interest in it. In addition one of the major characteristics of mental personality illness is that they usually do not have strong emotions like anger, joy, and sadness as criticism and approval doesn’t affect them. They do not care about what society thinks about them or treat them, it becomes hard for such people to have some strong set of emotions.

Since there are levels of severity for this disorder, some diagnosed might not have as much isolation from society as others. It does not show similar characteristics in every case it varies with each case.

It is a type of eccentric personality disorder, even though the exact cause and reason of the disorder are still unknown the researchers still claim that genetics and environmental conditions greatly influence the cause of this disorder. In addition, there are high chances for men to get it in comparison to women and the disorder usually begins in late adolescence or early adulthood.

Detachment from other people, little or no desire to form close relationships with others, infrequent participation in activities for fun or pleasure, a sense of indifference to praise and affirmation, as well as to criticism or rejection, Does not enjoy social or family relationships and get-together, Indifference to social norms and expectations and preoccupied with introspection and fantasy are considered as some of the basic symptoms for an individual to be diagnosed with mental personality disorder.

The mental health professional completes a psychiatric assessment which involves filling out some questionnaires which allow the psychiatrist to analyze the symptoms and thought the process of the patient. They also ask the individual about the questions related to childhood, relationship, job, and social history in order to extract the main reason for it.

In most of the cases, the person either does not seek the treatment while in other cases treating them is considered most challenging as the patient finds it difficult to build a working relationship with the therapist. However, the medical professionals recommend providing anti-stress and depressant medicines to control anxiety attack and depression.
