Many people asked me what this halal meat is all about and what is the basic difference between halal and other types of meat. In this article, you will get to know more about this. Let's start.

When it comes to taste, there is no big difference between the halal meat and other types of meat. The only thing that sets it different is the set of rules applied while processing the meat. In general, halal means traditional “Islamic” food. Halal is an Arabic term and refers to “legal” or “legal”. According to Islam, it means that what is permitted to use or engage it. I am sure you must have heard about the food restrictions imposed by the Islamic religion. In simple words, halal food means what is good to eat. In large terms, it refers to a series of products but most commonly used in relation to meat.

The rules that are applied while processing the halal meat are generally defined by Quran. These rules are widely respected by Muslim people all across the world. The foods that are expressly forbidden are pork or pork products, blood, animals that were already dead before being slaughtered, carcass of dead animals, all meat over which Allah's name wasn't pronounced before the slaughtering and even birds of prey. Muslim dietary rules are very strict and food which is in conformance with these rules gets a document certifying that it obeys the Sharia law.

One thing that is very important in halal meat is the way animals being slaughtered. The law of slaughtering animals is known as Dhabihah. It denotes that animals must be slaughtered with a quick and deep section on the neck, therefore cutting the jugular veins and carotid arteries of both sides. The spinal cord and nervous system will not be affected, but the purpose is that the blood gradually drains before the animal dies. Other options, like electrocuting the animal, are no allowed and seen badly, for the traditional slaughtering method came from Islamic wisdom taught by prophet Muhammad.
