Connecting with our higher self certainly helps us live a totally fulfilling lifernThe connection happens when we attain Self-Realization i.e. when we realize who really am I. In today’s times, we can attain Self-Realization through Akram Vignan, in just two hours time, as it happens directly with the grace of the Enlightened One, effortlessly!!! This knowledge of ‘who really am I’ helps us interact with every person in total harmony because the Self of us all is uniform in nature; the properties of the Soul (the Self) remain the same. When we attain Self-Realization the Akram way, we also gain the right knowledge of ‘who really is the doer’. This knowledge helps us solve every circumstance that we come across in life with equanimity, without having any attachment or hatred towards any. While worldly knowledge often creates divides and gives rise to conflicts as our vision is partial towards the believed self [‘ I am John - (please insert your name here)], the real knowledge of the Self is all-liberating and full of inner bliss, irrespective of any situation or person that we come across with, because our vision becomes pure and impartial. What is the Higher Self? rnThe higher self is the real self. This comes into our experience through the Self-realisation ceremony conducted by Akram Vignani. rnThrough Self-realisation two things happen:rnWe realise ‘Who am I?’ andrnWe understand ‘Who is the Doer’ i.e. who runs the world? rnWhen you become free from self-ignorance, you achieve the state which is free from all unhappiness. In this state, you experience that you are fundamentally different, and hence you notice good changes in your life than you did before Self-Realisation. rnAs you get the right understanding that all events in this Universe are under the control of scientific circumstantial evidences (Vyavasthit); no one is an independent doer, this awareness becomes apparent in our day-to-day life too. Vyavasthit keeps everything and everyone in this world organised - this knowledge provides us total satisfaction in every situation and helps bring closure to every matter without prolonging it. How does this knowledge echo in our daily life?rnEmotions like anger, annoyance, pain, hurt, jealousy, pride etc lessen their effects on you.rnYou have the keys to solving all the day-to-day problems with equanimity; thereby not hurting others and maintaining inner stability.rnFor you, in your higher Self state, you are not affected by any worries or miseries. After Self-Realisation, one is impartial to the mind, body and speech. This enables us to see our own mistakes, rather than being busy seeing others’ faults, which is one of the main reasons for internal miseries. Even if someone hurts you, the feeling of taking revenge does not remain after Self Realisation. We have a scientific understanding as to why unfavourable things happen in our life, and thus we are able to remain unaffected by it. rnAsking for forgiveness (pratikraman) becomes an integral and natural part of us when we have hurt or caused pain to anyone. As a result, our faults begin to decrease. The belief of ‘I am the pure Soul’ prevails in every circumstance, thereby constantly liberating us.rnThis is how the science of Akram Vignan, spiritual science works. This science not only connects you with your higher Self but also provides deep insights that allow you to be happy and accept your life the way it is. It also positively transforms your relationship with those around us.rnSelf-realisation can only be acquired in the presence of the Living Gnani (the Enlightened being). This is because He is enlightened and has the spiritual powers to enlighten others too. Only a lit candle can enlighten others! To know more: https://www.dadabhagwan.org/self-realization/

Questioner: If we surrender to the great souls that lived thousands of years ago, can that be considered surrender? Can we make any progress through such surrender or do we need to surrender to a living great man? Dadashri: You can progress even through Paroksha (indirectly- one not currently living). However if you find such a living (Pratyaksh) person, then your liberation will be instant. The indirect approach will give you the benefit of progress but there is no liberatio
