You say, you’ve been preparing for the GATE exams ever since March. It means you have studied well, and you are already prepared. But due to psychological effect, you are feeling nervous and depressed. When one is depressed, self-negativity starts, “I cannot pass. I cannot write my exams properly.” To break this chain of negative thoughts, Gnani suggests some very simple, yet most effective, tips. Try them now and get immediate results:
1.You say to yourself multiple times, “I am full of infinite knowledge.” Do you know, you are really a Pure Soul, the property of which is infinite knowledge and infinite strength. So every-time fear grips you, say the above sentence sincerely for about 100 times.
2.Before you sit to study or go to appear for exams, for at least 10-15 minutes, close your eyes, and with good stability and all sincerity, recite, ‘Dada Bhagwan Na Asim Jay Jay Kaar Ho!'; and while you recite, simultaneously read each letter you recite, with your closed eyes. Dada Bhagwan implies the God i.e. the Pure Soul residing within you!
3.Even if you feel I’ll fail, still go and appear for the examination with a firm resolve that, ‘I think I don’t know anything, yet I will definitely go and write my paper.” Your positive attitude and with the grace of God, you will surely do well.
Remember, you can achieve anything in life through the following two steps:
1.A Firm Resolve.
2.Sincerity towards your resolve.
A Firm Resolve. The very first resolve you ought to make to yourself is the resolve to face the fear rather than being afraid of it. Do not try to run away from fear or such thoughts or situations that create fear. Eg. What if I fail? What will people say? People will laugh at me, they will ridicule me….
Resolve to accept the negative thoughts and move forward. Doing so, you overpower the negative thoughts arising from fear. The nature of negative thoughts is such that it tries to defeat you and makes you break your resolve. But you cannot be defeated until you quit trying. Only if you quit trying, the negative thoughts can storm your mind and spoil it from within, thus creating chaos and disorder within.
Sincerity towards your resolve. Once you’ve got the willingness and the resolve to face your fear and accept your negative thoughts, now whenever fear arises, confidently tell your body and mind that you are staying, and not fleeing away from this situation. Take a deep breath, hold your head high and stare into the fear with sheer determination and confidence, saying, “Come on now, you are there and I am there. I am not going to quit.”
Even a spider does not quit trying to climb up the wall, no matter how many times it falls down. It doesn't let go of its goal; instead remains sincere to its goal. Thus, it succeeds to finally climb up the wall and achieves its goal.
Similarly, if you also stop worrying about what the neighbours will say, or what your friends will say, or even what your parents will say, and instead remain sincere to your goal of studying and appearing for exams without any fear, and pursue the goal relentlessly, you will surely be successful.
Let us see what Param Pujya Dadashri has to say about sincerity. He says, “Once you are sincere, you will win any challenge you face. When you are insincere, you will not win. So remain sincere in all your dealings and you will win the world.” Hence, focus on multiplying your sincerity.
Gnani is the Enlightened One. So, follow all his above-mentioned tips and teachings. With the grace of Dada Bhagwan (God), you will definitely achieve success in all that you pursue! The bad phase in your life has ended now. All is well that ends well, isn’t it?!
Ambalal M. Patel was a civil contractor by profession. In June 1958, spontaneous Self-Realization occurred within Ambalal M. Patel. From this point on, Ambalal became a Gnani Purush, and the Lord that manifest within him became known as Dada Bhagwan. A Gnani Purush is One who has realized the Self and is able help others do the same. Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan used to go from town to town and country-to-country to give satsang (spiritual discourse) and impart the knowledge of the Self, as well as knowledge of harmonious worldly interactions to everyone who came to meet him. This spiritual science, known as Akram Vignan, is the step-less path to Self-realization
