How do I know when to be patient with love? And what about Online Dateing
Written by Dieter Aschenbrenner
When you are first dateing someone it can sometimes be confusing when you should pursue or hold back.
For example, when you first obtain someone's phone number, when should you initially call them, or should you just text message them?
And how much, can you be TOO interested too soon or is that just a myth?
It can be hard to tell, and for each person it is different. Some woman will be open to direct and free flowing communication. Others may hold off for a day, or even sometimes up to a week before getting back to you on a simple voice mail, email or text message.
This can be for a couple of reasons. Firstly, most people don't want to seem too desperate in the initial stages of dating, so they may not reply too soon to protect themselves from seeming too eager, and that can go for guys or girls.
Here's the problem with holding back. If you're a girl and you want to reply to a guy but you think that if you do then you will put them off, then you might make a decision that's based from the head and not the heart. When you make a decision like "I won't reply to this guy because I think that I should wait one day, or a week because... that's just what you do" then that decision would be a decision made from the head.
If instead you thought to yourself "I don't know what to do, should I reply now or later?" and then notice what feels right in your heart, as corny as that might sound it will lead you towards experiencing more love.
The reason is because when you make a decision from the head, or from fear then you are operating from what's called the 'egoic mind' which is a place that brings more fear into your life, or results to be fearful about.
But when you make a decision from the heart you are making a decision from love, and all decisions that are made from your heart lead to a life of more love because they are grounded in love.
You might have heard that like attracts like, the law of attraction relates to how you think? Well it also relates to the decisions you make, for fearful decisions can and will attract more experiences to be fearful about.
But the good news is, you CAN trust your heart. It takes courage to trust your heart because you can definitely set yourself up for rejection, or pain. But the question is do you want to experience a life of limits where you limit your own ability to express yourself or do you want to experience unconditional love?
If you do act and speak from the heart and it doesn't work out then keep following your heart and it will eventually lead you to the partner that is right for you. If you have ever pushed anyone away then that is likely as from the head, or that person may not have been right for you, but you really have to trust in your heart because love is the greatest power that you have, and your heart is your portal to the universe and the power of love that you have within.
This goes for guys and girls. It's also vitally important that in the initial stages of dating that a guy does not 'push' from haste or fear, AND that he does not ignore the person or plan when to contact them, instead you should always do with what feels right from your heart.
It can be a little tricky to know what to do from the heart at first, but the more you practice it the easier it becomes. You can do things like 'heart breathing' to increase the sensitivity of your heart because the more you speak from that place the easier your relationships will flow.
The false idea is that we cannot express our love for someone in a relationship otherwise it will push them away. Love doesn't push people away, everyone wants to be loved. Speaking or acting from the head pushes people away because it comes from a place of 'lack' or 'neediness' or 'control'.
So whether it's dating for the first time, or even if you're already in a relationship, always speak from your heart, be yourself and express the truth at all times. Honesty and vulnerability in a relationship increases your level of passion and ultimately your experience of unconditional love.
This goes for offline or online dateing
