How do I permanently block a website on Chrome?

Block websites in Windows
One of the simplest options and that usually nobody knows is to change the configuration of the Hosts file of the operating system, the one in charge of “mapping” the IP addresses and hostnames but also capable of blocking access to web pages If we edit it correctly. Of course, for this, we will need to have administrator access. To do this we will have to go to the hard disk C> Windows> System32> drivers> etc (if it is easier, copy and paste the path in the file explorer C: \ Windows \ System32 \ drivers \ etc \). In the window, we will see a file called “hosts” that we will have to open with the Notepad program (or with Notepad). After this, we will go to the end of the file where we will find several lines like these: ““ # 127.0.0.1 localhost ”“ # :: 1 localhost ”and just below we will add those websites that we do not want to load on our computer. In the example, as you can see, type 127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com (the IP address refers to the localhost, that is, it is blocked on the PC itself). After saving the changes, we will not be able to access Facebook in any way. On the other hand, in case this method is difficult for you, there are extensions for Google Chrome or Firefox that allow you to easily block sites like BlockSite.Block websites on Android
In the case of Google's operating system, we will have to make use of some parental control application. There are many antivirus programs that offer this type of protection, be it Kaspersky, Avast or any of those found on Google Play. After installing one of them in our terminal, we will only have to save the parental control option, activate it and then make use of the option that allows us to block web pages - there will be a blacklist of websites, also known as blocked list For more details.Article author
