The reason why you fear the fragility of life is because you believe you are the owner of something that is really not yours, and believing so, you derive pleasure and pain from it.
Suppose you enter into a house that is not yours, would you not be apprehensive and nervous? You would be afraid of what if someone gets upset with me and throws me out. But if you are in your own home, would you be afraid? Of course not! You would be very much at ease and at peace since it’s your own home.
When you attain Self-Realisation, you realize ‘who really am I’
Soul is what we really are, but out of ignorance, we believe, ‘I am this body and the name given to identify the body.’
In the Self-realisation ceremony, there happens a separation between the Self (Soul which is the real Self) and the non-Self (everything other than the Soul that you identify with), as the wrong belief of, ‘I am this body and name’ is fractured and the right belief gets established. And thus, you recognize your own home, your real home, which is the Soul!
With the awareness of, ‘I am really a pure Soul’, you are able to remain separate from all that is non-Self, meaning ‘this (Soul) is my home and the one experiencing fear is separate from me. The non-self (the body-complex, the ego) is scared and apprehensive about life, not me (the Soul, the real Self).’
The Self (our real Self) experiences nothing but the eternal bliss of the Soul
The function of the Soul is to only know and see everything, without any attachment or hatred, and therefore it is an abode of eternal bliss!
In the awareness of, ‘I am a Soul’,
when we observe every event, as it happens i.e. we observe the thoughts, the emotions, the unrest, the feeling of being frightened, etc. as they arise, and in some time we observe that they are gone,
then, the Self always remains in the present, in the moment, and hence is never bothered about the past or scared about the future!
And through this experience, you realize the phenomenal truth that everything that arises in this world, in some time, it is bound to be no more - this is the way of life!
You also realize that you are separate from each of these; you are the observer and they are the object to be seen. While the objects that are seen are temporary, you, as a Soul, prevail. This means although everything in this world is fragile, you are permanent; although life of this body-complex is finite, you, the Soul, is life-energy that is eternal.
Today, you fear the fragility of life because you cannot see things as is
When you have the right understanding of what reality is, the fear automatically leaves. We gain this right understanding from the Enlightened One, and that’s when all our wrong fear is gone!
Just think about it - the future is yet to happen, yet you fear it thinking about the fragility of life; it is merely a creation of your imagination. Fear is inherent in every living being, but it should be within normal limits. It is normal to feel fear when the circumstances of fear arise. However, it’s a wrong fear when upon occurrence of some fearful situation, one keeps imagining hundreds of its occurrences to repeat in future. It is also a wrong fear to feel fear where there is nothing to fear. For example, you may have only invited one guest for dinner, but you fear as if a hundred people are coming to dine. Wrong fear is illusionary and highly aggravated in intensity.
After Self Realisation, you will stop being scared
Worries, fear, apprehension, frustration - none of these arise in the Soul. Therefore, when you remain in your own home (Soul), they cannot touch you or bother you anymore. And hence, you experience freedom, complete freedom from the effects of any mental, physical or externally induced problem!
This is why after Self-realisation, your internal peace is not disturbed even when you receive the worst kind of news. Through Self-Realisation, you are able to experience freedom from fear and suffering right here and now.
Thus, to stop being scared of the fragility of life, realise who you really are.

Ambalal M. Patel was a civil contractor by profession. In June 1958, spontaneous Self-Realization occurred within Ambalal M. Patel. From this point on, Ambalal became a Gnani Purush, and the Lord that manifest within him became known as Dada Bhagwan. A Gnani Purush is One who has realized the Self and is able help others do the same. Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan used to go from town to town and country-to-country to give satsang (spiritual discourse) and impart the knowledge of the Self, as well as knowledge of harmonious worldly interactions to everyone who came to meet him. This spiritual science, known as Akram Vignan, is the step-less path to Self-realization
