The competition for our TV viewing dollars is steep. There are now a wide range of choices of both TV company, and several TV package choices for every company in most viewing areas. There is cable TV, satellite TV and broadcast TV through the set-top digital to analogue converters, as well as TV that can be watched on your home computer through specialist software installations.
With so much choice, it can be hard to know what is the best option for you. Saving money can be done easily enough, but unfortunately in order to do so you have to compromise on the number of channels and channel options that you have.

atively you could choose a larger package, one that includes more of the channels that you want to watch. Now you get to watch whatever you want, and have more choice than ever. The downside here is that you have to pay the premium rate in order to get these premium TV packages.
A better alte
ative is to watch TV on your home computer. There are a wide range of software options that will allow you to do this, and with the right hardware and software on your computer you will be able to record the TV shows that you want to your computer's hard drive, for viewing at a later time or date. The option of watching TV through your PC is one of the cheapest of options available to you, and brings you a great deal of flexibility when it comes to the channels that you are able to view. In that respect, TV through your home computer is the best and cheapest option available to you.
Unfortunately, the majority of these software packages provides only mediocre playback quality, and are completely unable to support even a normal sized computer monitor fully, let alone a large scree
HDTV set. Instead they provide small sized, low quality streams of TV.
