How Psychics & Mediums Differ

Psychic readings & medium readings are very different in their make up, execution and results. The word medium has two main types and the first is physical mediums which is basically a medium who channels forth the spirit usually by means of raps, voices of materialized figures where information and communication can take place. These were very popular in the Victorian era where parlour sittings took place often for entertainment but with spectacular results including levitation!
The second type is mental mediumship and this is the type used for medium readings settings either where there is a face to face or phone medium reading.

Clairvoyance is when mediums see spirit with their psychic eye, clairaudience is when mediums hear spirit presence and clairsentience is when mediums sense the presence and thoughts of the spirit.
Mental mediumship is the main type most often demonstrated in public. Basically all mediums are psychic as this is part and parcel of their abilities at the more basic level. Not all psychics have the powers of mediumship. We are made of energies and have many energies around us. There are many realms which are unseen but the accomplished medium has learnt to raise his or her perception or vibration so that they can bring forth and link to the spirit side. The psychic reader can raise their vibration but not as high as the medium.

Many psychic mediums would rather give a reading that encourages the spiritual growth of the client, but many people are at the level where they simply want to use a reading for solving problems, seeking reassurance or peeping into the future. This I would say is what has driven the psychic and medium readings market to such a high level of usage as the modern day psychic has become the modern day psychic counsellor.
