How Quality of Life Changes Your Challenge
Written by Marc Lerner
If pure consciousness is at the core of everyone, your environment starts with your body. Most people look to their environment to find quality, but the highest quality exists at your center. When you develop habits that aspire to connect to your center, you can deal with every challenge with confidence, utilizing powerful inner resources. When you go that deep, you naturally find quality in life totally independent from any struggle.
We have the power to control our awareness and choose what interprets the struggles we face in life. If we were offered two sandwiches, one made from garbage and one prepared by a gourmet chef, which one would you choose? That is an easy question, but if you had thoughts that made you anxious and thoughts that triggered happiness, which thoughts would you focus on?
To most people if they had a choice, the happy triggering sandwich would be it, but unfortunately even without any persuasion their choice would be a result of past conditioning. Regardless of your past, everyone has a choice. If your past conditioning wasn’t perfect, the moment you live in has the quality you really want. When you enter the moment free from your past, symbolically speaking you will automatically eat the sandwich which triggers happiness.
Often when we face a serious challenge, we automatically fall back on our past. Now, none of the memories from the past has the quality found in the moment. Even the best idea or understanding, cannot compare to the quality and inner wisdom of the moment. Accepting the moment will not remove your struggle; it just determines how you deal with your challenge. That is an amazing control if you master it.
Too often, our own reactions block our deepest wisdom and we are victims in our struggle. Victims only look outside for help in solving their challenge, while an empowered person looks within and utilizes powerful inner resources. In the silence of your center, no anxious thinking exists. In fact no thoughts exist, so your identity is also absent. Imagine facing your struggle from that “Zone Consciousness:” the best part of you faces your challenges. In a health crisis, this approach doesn’t guarantee healing; it creates a healthy way to be sick.
Since stress inhibits your immune system, this approach definitely serves you in healing; even if you don’t heal having a quality life is a gift. This approach influences the care you receive and determines how much you exercise and the food you eat. Basically, everything you do reflects a solid person with a heart full of love. This includes every challenge, even when the ego is devastated.
Remember your environment doesn’t define the quality of your life; consciousness does. That is the best part of you. The quality of your life does not depend on the health of your body; it depends on your focus.
