Canadians love their morning coffee. In fact, according to the Coffee Association of Canada, 65 per cent of Canadians enjoy it every day making it the most popular beverage in the country (more popular than tap water). And nearly half of Canadian coffee drinkers would be willing to give up their phone, a meal, a shower, or even their car for a day in order to have a cup of coffee according to new research by Folgers in partnership with Leger Research. The truth is, whether it's on its own, paired with milk or cream, sweetened or not, it's hard to imagine a morning without the eye awakening aroma and bold taste of a fresh coffee.

Folgers shares some of the best ways to make your morning coffee routine one that always works for you in celebration of their 165 years waking up coffee lovers.

1. Variety is the spice of life: While some love the familiar, others may enjoy trying new things. If that's you, switching up your morning brew might give you some enjoyment early in the day. Monday may call for a dark roast, but come Wednesday, French Vanilla or Hazelnut flavoured coffee might be just what your coffee buds crave.

2. Some simple coffee hacks: Have you ever considered putting a twist on your cream and sugar coffee combo? Try a touch of cinnamon or a splash of maple syrup for a different kind of sweetness. Foam up milk with a hand held frother and uncover your inner barista!

3. Embrace your creature comforts: Don't underestimate the joy that can come from the familiar. Perhaps you have a coffee mug that you particularly like?
