How to build your own barn or post and beam or house? Do you want to know how to build something without your neighbor? Something unique that reflects your style, not a cookie-cut barn, but a real wooden frame or a barn with beams and poles.

Let's get the nuts and bolts of building your own post and beam homes.

Here's how it works, step by step.

You can see how easy it is to build your own wood frame barn. These steps are assumed that your foundation is already finished and ready to beginPost and Beam Construction. These steps are designed to show you how easy it is to build your barn.

  • Step one

Assemble your curvatures (the frame of your barn). It's easy to do. Take a look at your plans first and identify which wood to place where. The plans will show where they go to the skeleton of your barn. Using a forklift area, all your woods in their correct locations according to the plans. Place them above the level and secure them with bolts and steel plates.

  • Step two

Increase your sales. Using a heavy-duty telescopic forklift to elevate your bends and place them on the foundations of your Post and Beam homes. 2x6 nails strengthen your poles and anchor them to the floor or foundation. Then bolt them with the brackets and foundation bolts.

  • Step Three

As your folds are lifted, tie them together with 2x6 grooves and 3x6 purlins. Nail them in place with at least 16 pouches or screws 3 to 4 inches from the platform. It is sure with the structure of your warehouse that you continue to increase sales.

  • Step Four

Nail your roof to the bark and aboard and the latter siding in the area. Use at least 8 studs with ring tips or 2 to 3-inch screw plates. A pneumatic frame nail gun is ideal for putting these boards in place. The air gun will do a short job of tedious work.

  • Step five

Install your roof. It is important to have your incredible barn as soon as possible. Install shingles or steel roofing as you would any other Post and Beam Construction. Fiber-reinforced asphalt panels are also good in this barn style. They are made with recycled asphalt, making it an excellent ecological solution for the roof. These ripples add to the traditional look of your barn.

  • Step Six

Wrap your doors and install your windows. The installation of your doors is easy. Just open your track and equipment in the area. Then slide your doors to the tracks on the track. Install the finishing blocks and you will have them. Windows is easy. All you have to do is cut the rough opening, frame with 2x6 and install your frame window. Then cut the windows with some slats 1x3. The great thing about a pole and a barn is that you can place windows almost anywhere. No need to add headers, the wooden frame is freestanding. It does not depend on the walls for support.

  • Step Seven

Build your loft and stairs. Nail your loft joists 16 inches in the middle. Then cover them with a loft of 1 x 8 and nail them in place. Now, build your stairs. Cut notches on your 2x10 stringers and nail 2x10 steps in place.

  • Step Eight

Enjoy your barn and celebrate. Invite your friends and family for a big old-fashioned barn party. Get lots of pictures and share them with your friends. Upload your photos and share your story with the world on the web.
