1 Set Goals
You need to know what you are working towards and what you are looking to achieve from your successful marketing strategy, it will keep you focused and motivated. Don’t think about how much money you want. Instead think about the things you will be able to do once you have it. Learn how to write great goals, write them down in a compelling way and read them out loud once a day. This will help them embed in your unconscious mind. It will force you to think about it and it will give you something to refer to, when you need a reminder of why you're doing what you're doing.
2 Plan the Destination Not the Journey
You might not know how to get to where you want to be. Don't conce
yourself with that. Set your goals and let your unconscious mind worry about how to get them. You can only imagine things you've seen or heard of before so don't limit yourself to only what you already know. Plan where you want to be in great detail and focus on that.
3 Create Milestones
As well as big goals, you need to know what you want next - little stepping stones which will form part of your successful marketing strategy. It's a bit like planning a round the world trip, you need to know which country you want to visit next. Still don’t plan how to get there in too much detail though. Write down little goals along the way with dates, stick to them and write down when you achieve them.
4 Spot Every Opportunity
Pretty obvious this one! Always be on the lookout for new chances. It's a bit like looking at the world through x-ray specs- you need to notice things you haven't before and to seek out opportunity everywhere. When you do find something, go straight to the next step!
5 Take Action Straight Away
As soon as you see an opportunity, do something about it. It won't sit around while you think about it! You need to seize the day. Sometimes it will be a little step, as long as it's purposeful, it will take you a step closer to your goal.
6 Invest Time and Money Wisely
To build your business you will have to invest some time and money. So do it wisely. Get advice from someone you can trust. Look at successful people and read their stories, many have at some point been bankrupt and even homeless. You have to spend money to make money and regardless of how intelligent or educated you are, you cannot escape the fact that your business will grow faster the harder you work.
7 Keep At It
This is perhaps the most important of all the steps. In life, there will always be times where things don’t go as well as you hoped and you may even fail sometimes. So, get up, dust yourself down, work out what went wrong and do it better the next time. Then you will have learned not failed! Each time you reach a goal, create a new one and start again, with an even bigger, brighter goal until you have created your successful marketing strategy.
