How to Customize Diamond Wedding Rings?
Written by Carter Woodson
- You should know about the likes and dislikes of your partner. Everyone has certain specific preferences and tastes when it comes to diamond rings. To get a more clear idea about your partner’s preferences, page through different websites to make your partner choose diamond rings. Stay on a lookout for the features that your partner likes, such as the color of the metal (yellow gold, platinum, white gold) she likes, shape of ring, size of stones and the setting of stones in the ring.
- Decide on the color of diamonds. Diamonds are available in many colors such as pink, yellow, gray, black, olive, orange, green, red etc. Choose the color that best suits the personality as well as the preferences of your partner.
- Decide on your budget for the diamond wedding ring. Sit together with your partner to decide on the maximum price you can pay. Buying customized diamond rings can prove to be a bit on the costlier side, but there are ways to cut those costs. If your partner does not have any particular preferences for a large stone, choose a small diamond for the ring. You can also offset the cost by choosing white gold instead of platinum in the ring.
- Choose the best jeweler in terms of reputation and price. Tell them your preferences and assess whether they seem to understand your requirements or not. You can also decide on a jeweler by looking up their work history, reputation, client testimonials etc.
- Make sure that you provide them with some pictures showing your preferred ring design. The designer/jeweler will create a sketch of the diamond ring after confirming details like shape, metal type and design features. You can also suggest changes if required after having a look at the sketch.
- The designer will pass on the sketch of ring to the model maker, who will prepare a wax model of the diamond ring. The model will provide you a good look and feel of the actual ring.
