Every year, it seems a growing number of adult men from the Western world are
dating Asian women. So what's the reason for this fascination with dating Asian women? Here are a few reasons, based upon my own personal experience with
asian singles. In my Dating Asian Women blog I talk about this subject in much more detail, but for right now let me run down a few of the key reasons:
- Asian women are spiritually grounded.
Many Asian women observe a religion and take it seriously. Whether she worships God, Buddha or whomever, religion tends to give Asian women a sense of calmness and inner peace that many Western women lack. Asian women don’t need to do constant “soul searching” and fret about what is lacking in their lives. Asian women are happy and content as long as they have the love of a good man, and their family.
- Hot Asian women have a hardworking nature.
Asian women typically start helping out their families from a very young age, waking up early to help out with house-hold chores. This is a dramatic difference from the way children are typically raised in Western countries. Asian women also believe in the idea of studying and working hard, so that their families can enjoy a brighter future.
You see this is in the Western world, among all types of immigrant communities; they'll rise at dawn every day and work hard, and build businesses, in order to help their families back home and help them to emigrate. These people respect the value of hard work-and a woman from this type of background is not going to turn into a spoiled “princess” once you marry her.
- It is customary for Asian girls to take a lot of pride in how they look.
Asian women always want to look good for their man, even if they're just stepping out to go grocery shopping. As a man, you should love this and appreciate it -- give her some money to go to the salon, because she wants to look good for YOU! Asian women really do believe it's important for them to stay beautiful and sexy for the man they love. Western women, on the other hand, often gain weight and stop caring about their appearance once they get married and know they have their guy "locked in." They start packing on the pounds, and would rather wear sweat pants and baggy shirts than the short skirts and tight-fitting jeans that sexy Asian women prefer.
I've found that the reason Western women mock Asian-Westerner relationships is that they are JEALOUS. They don't like the idea of slim, beautiful Asian women (with perfect skin) "stealing" all their men away!
- Another reason for dating Asian women: they can truly love an older man, and appreciate what he brings to the table.
Let's not overlook this aspect of dating Asian women. In the Western world, once a guy turns 40 (or even 35!) he begins to feel that he can only date women his own age, and that younger women won't be interested in him. I’m not just talking about guys who have reached retirement age. Even guys who are in their 30s start to think that women in their 20s are “out of their range!” Which is crazy to me…
In Asia, it’s perfectly normal for older guys to be with younger women (and I’m not just talking about the girls who can be “rented” for the night). A 40-year-old Westerner is considered young by many of the local ladies in Asia! In fact, if you’re under the age of 40, some Asian women will rule you out because they feel you’re not yet mature and responsible enough for a serious relationship!
When you’re in Asia, it’s common to see men dating women who are 20 years younger than they are (or even more). Really, its not even an issue. At first, it can be jarring to see so many middle-aged (or elderly!) men strolling hand-in-hand with their sexy, much younger girlfriends…but as long as these men treat them with respect, it can all work out blissfully. I know of many examples.
But I do need to add, these relationships with huge age gaps tend to run into problems when the Western guy moves the Asian girl to his own country. In Asia, the Western guy is considered to be desirable and "exotic"; once he brings his Asian girlfriend or wife back to his country, he is now competing against a million other Western guys who want to snatch her away. These types of relationships do work better if the couple is living in Asia. These relationships can, however, stay intact after the move to a Western country, as long as the Asian woman truly loves her man and isn't only interested in his money (or getting citizenship).
The bottom line is that in Asian culture, older men are viewed with respect. They are seen as being responsible, mature and more stable than younger men. In their culture, elders are respected because of this (whereas in America, the elderly are often pitied or even ridiculed).
