You may have heard that monitoring your basal temperature is another good way to predict ovulation. This is not nearly as effective as using a OPK, as your basal temperature only rises after you have ovulated, giving you only a 24 hour window of possible success. To become pregnant as fast as possible, it is as good idea to use your basal temp as confirmation of ovulation, not prediction.

It’s important not to become too concerned when your bedroom escapades do not immediately lead to the desired result. It is only suggested to search out a fertility doctor if you have been trying unsuccessfully to conceive for about a year. It’s important to make sure you are as healthy as possible and make sure you are free from any untreated or unnoticed infections or STD’s.

Not stressing out over your decision is the single best thing you and your partner can do. Enjoy the process and don’t become overly concerned if the first, second or third times are not successful. Be sure to exercise as often as possible as well, this is not only very beneficial to you, it will be just as important to your baby.
