How To Get Your Ex Back? Just Talk to Him - TALK!
Written by Chris Belle
I was watching the TV the other day and noticed the many talk-shows that are on. I then noticed how truly amazing it is that people can talk so much and say so little. Does it seem to be that way in your relationship? When people communicate, especially people who love each other, the things we say and the way we say them are so important. You may say one thing to your man with a certain underlying meaning and he may not even get what you're really trying to say. "How does this dress look on me?" is a question that is both feared and dreaded by men everywhere. You want the truth, but you want him to say it the way you want to hear it, right? The poor guy doesn't have a clue to what you are really saying, so he offers what he thinks you want to hear. Now if you thought those last few sentences were confusing, you have a good idea of how difficult it can be to communicate clearly and effectively. But you have to learn how to talk if you want to get your ex back or save your relationship.
- The Wonderful World of "Not Talking". Say what you mean, mean what you say. That's easier said than done. Sometimes what you don't say is worse than any form of verbal answer. Imagine no response from your man when you ask him about your new dress. You're ready to take him out - and not on a date. This could work in reverse, in your favor. Imagine when you ask him about your dress, he tilts his head down and a bit to the side and gives you "that" look, you know what I'm talkin' about, girl. Now you know exactly what he said - and didn't utter a single word. So, now you know how that feels, go and try it on him. Practice the art of not talking, but communicating with a look, a smile, a gesture.
- At Some Point, You're Just Gonna Have To Talk It Out. Don't pout or mope around the house because he didn't notice something different about you. You know how clueless men can be at times - they're different than us (and baby, that's not a bad thing), and because they are different, they think differently. Just because all your girlfriends noticed your new hairstyle, don't expect him to notice. Talk to him - just tell him you cut your hair and that it hurts your feelings when he doesn't notice - tell him you're mad.
- He Can't Read Your Mind. I know this is an obvious point, but it needs to be repeated. Don't expect him to read your mind. You have to communicate. Talk to him - TALK!
You just might get back with your ex sooner than you think and your relationship could be as fresh and exciting as it was when you first got together. Or it just might be better!
