How to Increase Your eBay Potential
Written by Dirk Rowell
If you are looking to make regular income from eBay auctions, it is important to realise that you are not alone. Not only will this mean that there is a great deal of competition out there vying for the very same trade, but it will also means that you may well get ahead much quicker if you simply learn from other people’s mistakes.
There is a big difference between selling your own belongings on auction sites to make a few extra quid and actively deciding to become a full time trader on such sites. Whilst in the former instance you only really need to pay attention to other items on sale along with the time of year and set suitable prices for items at suitable times accordingly, as a full-time trader, you need to be sure that you have plenty of good quality stock to keep buyers coming back to your online shop time and time again, as well as to ensure that you get the quality and level of feedback you need for people to trust you.
For those just starting out with regular eBay auctions, looking for a wide array of stock on a wholesale clearance site can be a great way to go. Not only are you likely to be able to source as much stock as you need to ensure that you can go on to generate consistent turnover, but such an approach will also mean that you can undercut many of the other sellers on the site.
Not all wholesale clearance sites will be the same though and the best will allow you to buy any items without having to purchase minimum or maximum amounts. Many people spend huge amounts of time buying up cheap stock from auctions where titles have been misspelt but, more often than not, a wholesale site will allow you to get items for even cheaper and ensure that you don’t end up with a shop that sells items that are completely uncomplimentary to each other. After all, if you sell curtains, watches and the ingredients to make falafel in your shop, people won’t be inspired to return to you for a specific purpose.
