How to Roll Sushi: A Step by Step Guideline in Making the Best Rolled Sushi SushiQuik Style!

Sushi is one of the most famous dish in Japan. It is the famous dish you usually find when celebrating special occasions in Japan. During the 16th century, the term sushi was referred as pickled fish preserved in vinegar. Today sushi has now evolved from a pickled fish into a dish that contains rice prepared with sushi vinegar. So what kind of sushi?
There are many different kinds of sushi, but the most popular are Nigiri, Norimaki, Nari, Chirashi, Gunkan, Temaki and Oshizushi. Among the seven, Nari is the simplest and cheapest kind of sushi. It is prepared to use a deep fried tofu bags filled with sushi rice. Temaki sushi is prepared to use nori seaweed that is filled with sushi rice, vegetables and seafood. All this kinds of sushi only varies in their different fillings with a common ingredient of rice. Preparation is simple, but you just make sure to follow the steps carefully. How to roll sushi
1.Use the SushiQuik Roller Kit with nori sheet on top of the mat and spread a cup of sushi rice. Make sure that the rice is evenly spread in the nori sheet. Use wet finger tips as you evenly spread the rice.
2.Coat small amount of wasabi starting in the middle extending to its sides.
3.Top it with your chosen fillings just on top of the horizontal line coated with wasabi. You can choose your own fillings like tuna, seafood, vegetables and fruits.
4.Roll up the sushi tight but not tight enough cause it might break the sushi.
5.Squeeze it to make sure that the roll is packed tightly.
6.You are now ready to cut it into 11/2 inch rounds. Make sure to use a damp sharp knife when you cut the roll. It is also important that you moisten your knife after each cut.
7.You are now ready to serve your sushi with a bowl of preferred sauce.
The steps might be so simple, but when you are actually doing it, you might encounter some difficulties just by the rolling process alone. Rolling sushi is a trial and error too.
