Do you want tips and techniques for shaving with a manual razor? This post will briefly explain the best ways to shave and will include a website for more information.

If you asked a man about grooming one of the first things they would talk about is shaving - it's a man's pride. Many women feel that a well shaven man appears much more attractive and it is not surprising considering that well shaven face makes a man feel more clean and youthful, it also makes their skin appear clearer and their facial features more defined. These assets can also be useful for work and business, not just for women, as it makes men feel more confident

One of the most important tips for using a manual razor is to use a special gel/oil with the razor as this protects and hydrates the skin improving the appearance of your skin and face. Just using water dries out the skin causing it to be more easily damaged and shaving cuts and rashes to form.

The actual razor is usually better with as many blades as possible, this creates a more even shave, as you are less likely to miss any bits of facial hair. I don't find the electric manual razors to make much difference, but can be used if you wish.

The best shaving technique is to shave against the grain of the hair (against the direction of hair growth) as this results in the hairs sticking up making the razor cut even closer to the skin with ease. Use a firm stroke, but do not use the shaver too hard as this can damage the skin and cause cuts - be especially careful around the Adam's apple as this area is susceptible to cuts.
Always remember to change the blades every 6 weeks to ensure they don't go blunt.
