Many people suffer from excessive gas production in stomach. Moreover, it may affect the daily routine life, and arise many problems in the digestive system, which is why, it is important to treat flatulence effectually. However, excessive gas production, or flatulence is a humiliating problem which occurs due many reasons. Furthermore, eating, or drinking too fast not only lead to digestion problems but also, increase the problem of excessive gas. Additionally, carbonated beverages and caffeine based beverages also increases the amount of gas in the stomach.

According to ayurveda, the digestive system contains a little amount of gas to help secretion of waste products from the body in form of faeces and urine. But, excessive gas formation may negatively affect the overall health. However, this problem mostly occurs due to faulty eating habits and improper lifestyle. In addition, excessive gas formation can be prevented by following few simple tips, which are mentioned ahead.

1. Soda drinks augment intestinal gas. In addition, it contains compressed gases which are harmful for the body. Also, these drinks contain high sugar levels which can negatively affect the body. So, limit or avoid fizz to treat flatulence.

2. Herbal teas can help to treat flatulence effectually. Moreover, add some honey in a cup of herbal tea, instead of sugar, to get rid of excessive gas.

3. Lactose is a natural sugar found in every dairy product. Moreover, it is a very common cause of intestinal gas. However, dairy products are very beneficial for the body, so instead of avoiding, limit use of dairy products. Besides, a lot of packaged foods contain lactose, so it is important to check the label before purchasing them.

4. Breathing exercises can help to treat flatulence. Moreover, the breathing exercises will also help to keep digestive system healthy, which is important to prevent excessive gas formation. In addition, they will help to overcome respiratory system problems. Besides, these exercises will increase the amount of oxygen in the body, and regulate the metabolism of the body.

5. Yoga postures are effective in preventing the excessive gas problem. Moreover, the different postures of the yoga are used in the treatment of many digestive systems’ ailments. In addition, these postures regulate the functioning of the digestive organs for effective secretion of waste products from the body. Also, the yoga postures are good for overall health of the body.

6. Drink at least 10 glasses of water everyday to treat flatulence. Moreover, water hydrates the body as well as regulates the functioning of the various organs. In addition, water is important to keep digestive system healthy.

In conclusion, the above mentioned tips to treat flatulence will help to prevent formation of excess gas as well as to keep digestive system healthy. However, it is also very important to live an active life. Moreover, sedentary lifestyle has negative impacts on the body, which is why, it is beneficial to be active whole day long to treat flatulence. Also, avoid alcohol consumption to prevent occurrence of gas problems.
