Once awakened, the seven chakras can cause a transformation of consciousness and physical changes in the body. Wherein, the body will experience ultimate health, while the mind will begin to be more sensitive in the world we live in. Furthermore, an awakened chakra spins can be felt by the whole body. That's why it's has been called the “wheels of energy.”

It works in a way where the kundalini energy travels through the seven chakras, and it's better known as the “Prana.” It's an important life-force energy that sparks life within the human being. Thus, without it, a person can't survive.

The Kundalini Energy
Also known as the Shakti energy, the kundalini energy is quite popular in all shamanic cultures globally. It's referred to as the spiritualizing energy in the human body that's dormant and rests at the base of the spine waiting to be awakened by the seven chakras.

Once the awakening begins, the kundalini energy will activate the seven chakras and the higher levels of consciousness will be achieved.

How to Use Chakra Healing to Transform Your Life
There are thousands of ways on how you can “balance” and “heal” your chakras. This could range from simple meditation to visualization. Both of these methods are quite popular, but it's not limited to that. There's sound, sight, and smell chakras as well. Likewise, yoga is also considered as another way on how to work on your chakras.

Though, the question is, do these modalities work the same? The answer is yes and no, or some would say, it depends on the situation. It's important to realize that each healing modality is closely related to each one of the chakras. This implies that some methods may work better than the rest.

For instance, the sixth and seventh charkras blends well with meditation, visualization, and pure energy work due to the fact that they belong in the higher frequency realm. However, the seventh chakra isn't really “physical” at all, but it's the person's spiritual connection to everything in this world. On the other hand, the sixth chakra is often referred to as the third eye (the middle of the forehead) and is the least physical of all.

Each Chakra also relates to an element and sense, such as:
1st Chakra: earth/smell
2nd Chakra: water/taste
3rd Chakra: fire/sight
4th Chakra: air/touch
5th Chakra: sound/hearing
6th Chakra: light/ “sixth sense”
7th Chakra: unrelated to the sensory world, except pure consciousness

1st Chakra: Base Chakra or Muladhara Chakra
For the 1st chakra, it has been said that the best long term healing originates from physical activities, such as yoga, because this chakra is the most dense and the one that's closely related to the physical body. Likewise, smell-oriented treatments, such as aromatherapy works well, because this chakra is also connected to the sense of smell. For Chakra healing, gemstones are perfect because stones came from the earth-- the element of the first chakra.

Chakra Healing:
> Proper sleep, physical exercise, gardening, and pottery.
> Consumption of red food and drinks.
> Wearing red gemstones, clothing, and bathing in red.
> Using red oils, such as ylang ylang and sandalwood.

2nd Chakra: Svadhisthana or Sacral Chakra
Hatha yoga is good for the 2nd chakra, especially if it's played with intimacy. Furthermore, healing with chakra foods is also ideal for this, because it's related to this.

Chakra Healing:
> Water aerobics, hot aromatic baths, massage, embracing sensations.
> Orange clothing and gemstones.
> Orange food and drink.

3rd Chakra: Solar Plexus or Manipura Chakra
Working with yantras and other forms of visual therapies work well with the this chakra. The conscious, mental reasoning ability, and the self image are related to this. Thus, sun bathing is ideal, because of the fire element and the solar plexus.

If you want to stoke your third chakra in a major way, better consider fire walking.

Chakra Healing:
> Solving mind puzzles, taking classes, and reading books. Detoxification programs also help.
> Yellow clothing and gemstones.
> Yellow food and drinks.
> Yellow oils, such as lemon and rosemary essential oils.

4th Chakra: Anahata or Heart Chakra
This is the bridge between the upper and lower chakras. For this, touch is good, and studies show that it's the reason why babies thrive whenever the nurses and mommies hold them. As humans, hugging is an essential part of life-- even self hugging. It's one of the most effective ways to balance and boost the heart chakra energy.

Chakra Healing:
> Spending time with your family and friends, as well as nature walks.
> Green clothing and gemstones.
> Green food and drinks.
> Green oils, such as eucalyptus and pine essential oils.

5th Chakra: The Throat of Vishuddha Chakra
Sound healing is important for this. This technique can be utilized in two simple ways, such as putting the sound out by chanting, seed sounds, and mantras. Likewise, you can also take the sound in with the help of mantras, crystal balls, and even through singing your favorite song.

Chakra Healing:
> Art collections, singing, and conversations.
> Blue clothing and gemstones.
> Blue food and drinks.
> Blue oils, such as chamomile and geranium essential oils.

6th Chakra: The Third Eye or Ajna Chakra
Visualization plays a vital role in the sixth chakra, because the third eye is in ground zero for visualization and dreams. This is where the vision is spun.

Chakra Healing:
> Meditation and star gazing.
> Indigo clothing and gemstones.
> Indigo food and drinks.
> Indigo essential oils, such as patchouli and frankincense essential oils.

7th Chakra: Crown or Sahasrara Chakra
Thoughtlessness, silence, meditation, and openness best describe this chakra. Just try to open yourself to the space and see how it'll affect you.

Chakra Healing:
> Writing down your dreams, ambitions, and visions, and inventions.
> Violet clothing and gemstones.
> Violet food and drinks.
> Violet oils, such as lavender and jasmine essential oils.

Can Mediation Help the First Chakra?
Based on the explanation given above, we're not saying that meditating won't affect the first chakra. What we're talking about is the super subtle technique that's often used on a dense chakra.

Other Ways to Help Clear Chakras and Promote Healing
Yoga: Yoga means “union,” and it's defined as the yoking together of the body, mind, and soul, in order to release the True Self. That's the reason why it's considered to be one of the most effective techniques when it comes to releasing the energy.

Through the movement and stretches done in yoga, the energy is pushed through the centres and away from its point of concentration. Oftentimes, the negative issue will surface once the blockage disintegrates. This will let you know what caused the blockage, allowing you to let it go.

Physical Exercise: The energy is moved, but this is not permanent.
