If you are reading this article, I suppose you were born in 90’s. If yes, then you must have witnessed the financial crisis and recession in 2008. A recession is when an economy depreciates, the balance between the profit and loss becomes unstable and economy starts moving towards loss.
The term recession is far worse than a recession. It usually comes in war or crisis situations. That is, when a government lost hold of the economy and the currency starts de-valuating at a rapid phase.
And today, when the whole world has turned into a global village, how will this global village reacts to a recession or even a recession. We hear news regularly, it always states that economy of any state is in a state of instability or the world is turning towards recession and all that... But the same news agencies failed to tell what will happen and how will we cope up with scarcity?
Because if we talk about Adam Smith and his theories. Then according to them, we will naturally become stable in the future. That is, if anything like that happens. But Keynesians do not totally agree with me because according to them government intervention is necessary.
Recession, by the perspective of an ordinary human, is the state in which price of everything rises and currency starts de-valuating, limiting the options of investment.
In Online markets, where every company trades in the top currency, that is European Euro or the dollar. There is a 50% chance that the market will be affected at a bigger level. If you ask me, online companies will shift their currency from de-valuating currency into another one.
And now the question arrives, how will people then buy those products? Here, starts the real problem. Because if the online companies change their payment currency then clients and customers will start leaving that company because of the recession and the three factors which are provided below.
1. Job Reduction:
Companies, in recession lay off additional workers and load their potential customers with more work. This incurs, less time offs and more work and affects the performance and the company profit negatively.
2. Reduced spending:
In recession households and individuals reduce their spending because they think the currency is de-valuating and spending it right now will be a bad decision. This affects the profit of companies in a negative way and demand decreases while supply increases making the company lay off more workers.
Online companies are working on the same system. And in crisis they also act like normal companies and are affected in the same way.
The above article is based on global recession, not recession only in one state.
