Congratulations on being a new mom! Hopefully motherhood is amazing and wonderful for you. Other than the new bundle of joy in your life, I bet your wondering how you're going to get your body back into the shape it was before your pregnancy. As a new mother, I'm quite positive that you would want to spend your time with your new bundle of joy than having to go to the gym to work off that baby weight.

It can be really difficult, once having a baby to lose pregnancy fat. There are ways you can lose pregnancy fat and spend time with your new child. Without having to neglect your new child, here are some way you can do to help lose that stubborn pregnancy fat.

The first step you can do is to control what you put into your body. Due to hormones, your body during pregnancy before and after can go through many emotional stress. You will notice some changes about yourself after childbirth due to your hormones trying to stabilize. You will experience all these food cravings because of your change in hormones. You can't pig out on ice cream and use the excuse your eating for two anymore. By stabilizing and controlling how much sugar your body is taking in, you can keep cravings at bay. Eat small meals and frequently as the day goes by. You are more likely to lose weight if you eat five to six small meals a day instead of the usual 3 large meals we are all so accustomed to.

Second,not only is breast feeding good for your baby, it's also good for you! You can lose more weight if you breast feed. It's hard to believe but there is a biological reason why you gain weight during pregnancy. Your body needs fat to help you lactate. You can burn up to 500-700 calories a day just by breast feeding. Another way to bond with you child is to breast feed, it is also the best way to burn calories.

Third, you can lose pregnancy fat and spend quality time with your baby just by taking a walk around the neighborhood. Your neighbors and friends are probably all dying to see your new baby, so instead of having them come to visit you, why not get some exercise and put your child in a stroller and walk all over the neighborhood to show him or her off. Tale your new baby out for a walk to meet the neighbors. Going for a walk is a fast exercise for weight loss, it might also help with the stress in being a new mother too.

Try to remember you don't have to rush to lose pregnancy fat fast. Realize that your body has been through an ordeal, take it easy. Lose weight the safe and natural way. Losing weight safely and naturally is a great way to have a healthy motherhood. Be patient and soon you will fit back into all your clothes before you were pregnant.
