Do you ever feel like you don't know if you actually exist? Well, I guess you will have to spend quality time with yourself for this feeling to emerge. That is when you can really call yourself 'spiritual'. You start wondering whether life is an illusion or whether it is the truth. The truth is that "your truth" is the truth. This fear of not knowing what is true and what is an illusion leads us to believe in religion or in other schools of thought that show us ways to predict the future or at least explain the present.

One of the most important means by which we as humans can predict the future is through our dreams. Dreams play an imperative role in peoples lives, but most of the time we either don't remember them or we don't pay enough attention to them. It has been found that people who write their dreams down get to know themselves better, while they have a clearer picture of what lies ahead in their future.

Not all dreams are prophetic. Certain dreams hold a psychological meaning and by that I mean that not only they depict how a person may feel at a certain period of time, but also the unconscious mind of a person reveals itself. In that way a form of therapy can be achieved through dream analysis, though this technique may apply to people that are highly connected with their inner selves. It is widely known that Sigmund Freud did not believe in dream analysis, since most of the women he dealt with were neurotic. Therefore the sample that he used was biased. The problem today lies in the fact that the majority of people, especially in the West are scared to spend time with themselves, therefore they never get to really explore their psychic.

At this point it is crucial to mention that since every person is different, the same dream may mean different things to each person. For example, three different persons might dream about an airplane crash- the first person's dream might signify that his/her business might collapse, the second ones that they are really stressed or facing a psychological break down and the third ones that there was actually an airplane crash. Keeping track of your dreams is always important, for you might think it was a stupid, idle dream, but in time you might realise that it was not as stupid as it may have seemed in the first place.

Now, the most intriguing aspect of dreams is that they may come 'true'. People that have prophetic dreams do not have to be necessarily charismatic or geniuses, but they do have to work with themselves in order to achieve a higher level of farsightedness. It is true that meditation greatly helps to achieve having consecutive prophetic dreams. For instance, one may face a love related problem, such as wondering whether your partner is right for you or not. If you want to know the answer to your dilemma, every night before going to bed take a bath to cleanse yourself, afterwards lie down and ask the universe to get an answer to your question. Ask the universe to dream what is right for you. The answer might not come the first time you ask for it, but it will eventually come your way. Just relax. And even if you don't get a direct answer from the universe- close your eyes and picture yourself in a state of Zen. The most incredible things are about to happen in your life when you picture yourself in a place where you want to be, even if you now think it is impossible.

The question is: are dreams a way of predicting the future or are they a reality in a different dimension? That you will find out by yourself. Deep inside we all know the answer, we just can't remember. Therefore, pay
attention to your dreams, for they never lie!
